Goran Ivanisevic rates Rafael Nadal as Wimbledon favourite, with Andy Murray in fourth

The world No. 1 has struggled for form in recent months and suffered a shock defeat in the first round at the Aegon Championships to lucky loser Jordan Thompson.

Cilic, meanwhile, has enjoyed a fine week at Queen’s and will face Feliciano Lopez in the final on Sunday.

And his former coach Ivanisevic, who won Wimbledon in 2001, rates his chances above the Scot’s at the third Grand Slam of the year.

Stan James, which is the bookmaker that I think devotes most thought to its tennis odds, has Federer as favorite, Murray as second favorite, Nadal third, Djokovic fourth, Raonic fifth, and Kyrgios and Cilic joint sixth. Zverev rounds out the top eight.

Absolutely laughable. Nadal hasn't made it past the QF since 2011.

Edit: Plus, Ivanisevic couldn't even help Cilic beat a tired, broken knee Fedr. Credibility = 0

Can we please now give it a rest?

Every year we go through this.

2013: Last year Nadal's knees were injured. And Rosol would've beaten anyone.
2014: Last year Nadal's knees were injured again (even though he won everything immediately before and after Wimbledon)
2015: Last year Kyrgios (who finished the year ranked #52) played like an all time great. He would've beaten anyone.

2017: Nadal is healthy at Wimbledon for the first time since 2011. Carlos Moya blah blah blah

Nadal had everything in his favour this year. He had an extra week after the French to rest and prepare. He asked the tournament director in Barcelona for slow grass - he got it. John "0-2 in 2017" Millman in the 1st round, Donald "1-10 at Wimbledon" Young in the 2nd, and a rookie playing his 1st Wimbledon in the 3rd.

Made it to the 2nd week and still lost to the first decent player he faced.

Can we finally give it a rest? Nadal is not winning Wimbledon again. Just give it a rest. Next year, I don't want to hear anything about Nadal winning Wimbledon.

This x1000

A player beating up on no-names in the first and second round of a major does NOT mean they're going to go all the way and win it. I was saying that all tournament and I got labelled a "troll" and a "f e d t a r d". I am a Federer fan, but I'm also something you'd call "realistic"

Ha, you wish!

It will be same procedure next year unless humble bull has retired by then.

Even Boris Becker picked Nadal as favorite after his 3rd round match. I think many felt the same way. But its never wise to pick anyone based on 1st weeks form. That should be the lesson
