Do you think certain Grand Slam losses of the Big 4 seem better in retrospect because the player they lost to when onto eventually do well in that tournament or their career?
For Federer I would say:
2010 French QF - Soderling went onto reach final
2010 Wimbledon QF - Berdych, went onto reach final
2014 US Open SF - Cilic, went onto win title, hasn't done much since, but in 4th round of 2015 Open
2015 French QF - Wawrinka went onto win title
For Murray I would say
2009 US Open 4th Round - Cilic - went onto win U.S. Open 5 Years Later
2010 French 4th Round - Berdych - went onto reach final
2010 US Open 3rd Round and 2013 US Open QF - Wawrinka, went onto win 2 Grand Slams
For Nadal I would say
2009 French - Soderling - went onto reach final and another French Open final
For Djokovic I would say
2008 Wimbledon 2nd Round - Safin - went onto reach semifinals
For Federer I would say:
