Hi there. For all you Gravity Pro users, I am just wondering if you have done any customizations? If so, I would love to know. Please mention your string setup too. Thank you.

Added 1g each at 3,9, and 12 o'clock, 5-6g at 7" above the butt cap (2 small coins - 1 on each wide side of the grip near top of handle), 2 overgrips (1 no overlap, and second as standard), and a rubber band dampener (No.64 I think). Strung the racquet with T1 Strike Force RIP (1.23mm) @ 52M/50C but feels softer as it was one of my first string jobs I did myself (on a drop-weight machine).

The static weight is 353g (strung) and the balance is 315mm (strung). Not sure about the SW.

Plays awesome, no problems with maneuverability... very impressed.

All too often players want to increase TW and SW, but then not sure on how to counter-balance the racket. For every 1 g of weight you add to a racket here’s any easy way to add 1.3 SW points to your racket and maintain the same balance.

if you’re using 1/4” lead tape each 1 g is 11.0 cm long. Cut the 11 cm strip of lead in half, then cut 1 of the sections into 4 equal pieces. Place the 4 small pieces 30 cm above the balance point @10 & 2, and the long piece 30 cm below the balance point. You can find the balance point by placing the racket on a table edge. 30 cm is about 11.8 inches. If you want to increase SW by 5 points add (5/1.3*11) 42.3 cm of lead tape divided into 5 pieces as mentioned above.

Using this method the lead is always placed at points that can be hidden under the grip and head guard so it won’t come flying off, and requires no special tools or formulas. It increases TW and SW while it maintains balance. It so easy a first grader could do it, but you should not allow 5-6 year old kids to play with sharp tools.

Glad to see you're liking your Gravity Pro. I bought an under-spec Gravity Tour a few months ago just to satisfy the curiosity. I really had no intentions of taking the racquet too seriously, but I find once I pick it up, I can't put it down. It has an incredibly addictive and connected feel. I've read where some say this is as close as you'll get to classic Head feel. If so, I now know why people rave about it. I just swapped an L3 pallet for an L4 and have added 5g at 2:30/9:30. Still need to get it to around 32.1cm balance and restring it. Again, not a Gravity Pro, but a Gravity Tour, and I'm not surprised that we've once again landed on the same line of frames with similar impressions. Btw, I find it ironic that the Gravitys actually have the old IG Speed head shape, which for some odd reason, I've always liked. Very surprised how well this frame is working on my 1hbh. Perhaps I should take the Pro for a spin.

I played with the Gravity Pro a fair bit in 2019 but sold it last year. I then sorta got into the mindset of a "tennis snob" and started embracing only 95 sq inch racquets as this was what most of the pros were using (that was literally my rational). So for last year I mostly played a Vcore 95 which I admit I still like a lot! However, this year I started to feel that I wanted to reconnect firstly with my Graphene Speed Pro and I love that racquet! It then made me think of the Gravity Pro and I managed to find one on sale and so I purchased it. I played it for the first time again a few days ago and it is a beautiful racquet! I jumped the gun and added 2g of lead at 12 and it felt alright (I also had 2g countered at the handle and I play with a 5g overgrip). This was the "tennis snob" in me again saying that I need to play with a SW closer to 340. I am starting to realise that I actually maybe do best with a SW in the low 330s. So I took the lead off my Gravity Pro currently. I did add another 2g down at the handle and initial shadow swings feel good - whippy and maneuverable. I will eventually do the manual swingweight experiment to get an idea of the actual swingweight. I hit tonight. I am tracking data since I use a Zepp sensor with it. Based on the feel and data, I will then make tweaks.

I forgot to mention that it weighs at 340g and I used Big Hitter Silver 7 Tour at 56lbs.

In playing with the z pro now and getting ready to mod one frame up to POG weight. Played a match with POG from 3005/2005 last week and have been sneaking time with it. It's just pure from the baseline off both wings. Gravity Pro scales at 347g, POG is at 353g. Thinking of adding 3g of tungsten tape at 10 & 2, them adding 3g of putty inside the buttcap.. Expectations are low...I suspect the feel I'm liking with the POG is from the cross bar and the OS head.

I tested my Gravity Pro today. It has 5g of lead on the handle and a 5g overgrip. No lead in the hoop. This setup was very manageable for me and I did well with it too.

Mine were all matched and slightly over spec. I have tried a bunch of things with it. I finally found that adding some weight into the handle with blue tac and NO leather grip is great. I am a leather guy, and I can’t explain it but the stick is easier to use without it. I believe mine are

duh. 350 dresses up. Around 10pts headlight. Hyper g soft 17 gauge or either plain old head velocity, same gauge. Love this stick.

I def second the "NO leather grip". I, myself, am a leather guy but stuck with the stock grip and liking it.

I played with the stock grip until it wore down. I replaced one frame with the Head Ultimate and the other with a Head Leather. I am prefer the frame with the leather grip. 7g difference in the frames. Played with the modded frame today, noticed the difference in playability. Thinking of adding an additional gram or two of tape to the head.

It doesn’t really need more weight. Very stable out of the box for a 315 gram frame. If you feel like you just need more power a little at 10/2 and whatever feels right in the handle should give it more plow (swingweight is already in the 330s though).

The published TW specs of the Gravity Pro has an MGR/I of 21.25. Adding weight to the handle will drop that down and make the racket a little faster. You end up with a faster racket (more maneuverable) with about the same plow. Yet few people believe MGR/I makes any difference.

What is MGR / I?

Leather grip. I felt no reason to put lead in the hoop as it was so stable in stock all it needed was that leather feel and it was golden (y)

A ratio of (mass * gravity* balance) / inertia. Search for some of @travlerajm’s post on the forum or google.

I feel Gravity Pro already has all the swingweight and twistweight I need. I added blu-tac inside the buttcap to get the balance to 32cm. I think it helped a bit with returns and volleys.

I've recently tried a mod on my Yonex VCP 97HD that worked very well. I then tried it on my G360+ PMP, and it has also worked very well.

I am now calling this my "Liquidmetal" Mod and will be trying it on my G360+ Gravity Pro (and then if all is well on the G360+ Speed Pro).

It's adding a small amount of weight (so far 0.5g) at 2,4,8, and 10 o'clock respectively... this is in addition to any other mods (usually weight at 3,9, and 12 o'clock, and 7" above the butt cap).

It has added power, increased comfort, and increased my ability to turn defense into offense. With the VCP 97HD, it has also almost eliminated me hitting balls into the net tape (which was happening a lot before the mod).

Fingers crossed.

My GP has fairway leather grip, no lead (took it off after trying it), strung with gut and solinco confidential at 53#. Quick whip action now.

Customized and matched 4 GP to get the balance down to 31cm unstrung and the SW to 305 kg.cm2.
Unstrung: 318.5g, 31cm, 305 SW.
Ready to play : 343g, 31.8cm, 340 SW.
Strings: Wilson Revolve 1.25.

Can a Gravity Pro be customized to unstrung specs of 340g, 30.5cm?
If you really meant unstrung, yes very easily. This is basically what Rublev plays. But you will get a 365g strung racquet...

The thing is that the GP has one of the highest SW on the market so it will be 365g with a SW of at least 340 kg cm2 (strung).

yes I would need to find a Gravity Pro with unstrung SW in low 290's.. Doubt theres many out there.

Wow. That’s heavy.

It's been further modified with weight in the head and handle... Now the strung weight is 360g and the balance is the same at 315mm strung (with the same string as above... but will vary depending on the string used).

I've added additional weight (0.5g) at 2, 4, 8, and 10 o'clock. I'm calling this the "Liquidmetal" Modification. I've tried it on my Yonex VCore 97HD first, and it worked really well, and subsequently on my G360+ PMP, G360+ GP, and G360+ Speed Pro. I also have a Blade Pro that has been modified to 343g, 305mm balance, and 324 SW (All Unstrung specs).

They all play great. I think the key is the very HL balance, which makes the racquets feel easy to swing.

Gravity Pro looks like its already has enough weight in the head. Unless you're playing really heavy hitters (like James Blake or Fernando Gonzalez, lol), I won't suggest doing any mod other than adding some weight to the handle (replacing stock grip with leather would be a great way of doing that).

A trained professional at using a scale?

I had a GT, stuffed in as much blutac as I easily could, maybe 15g. Sold it, with the blutac in it.
