Finally managed to get a couple of APDGT's today with the new Babolat 12 bag. Wasn't expecting much of a difference when comparing them to my APDC's but wow, theyre a lot nicer! They feel much more solid and have a lot more pop, 2 doesnt seem enough now!

The bags great as well, lots of space, large iso drinks case, shoe bag, its solid and well build and still has the moulding so it keeps its shape even if empty. Nice stuff.

Heres a collection of photos! Theyre actually the first photo's taken with my new Camera (Nikon D700.) They're all unedited using very high ISO, great camera so far!

Heres the new stuff.

Cool, and pictures look great!

I just bought 2 APDGT racquets myself about a week ago (I previously was using Prince racquets so this is my first time transitioning into Babolat racquets). Sounds like you like it better than the prior Cortex version?

In terms of design, it's interesting that one-side of the frame has kind of a sleek-slippery feel, whereas the other side of the frame is still smooth but without the glossy texture. Interesting aesthetics.

I have the older Babolat bag, and my favorite part of it is the silver-thermo drink cooler installed on the bottom compartment of bag completely separate from where you would store your racquets and/or clothes, shoes, etc. I heard the new bag actually has a "removable" drink-cooler section, is that true?

Overall, good stuff

wow. im sorta jealous. :( nice bag nice racquets but i decided to stick with my head tour team 2009 combi. Why? Cos i have alot of stuff i bring to tennis court as well as im not sponsored so why bother paying for a large bag i wont fill up? but again nice stuff

Very nice camera (and of course the racquets)!

I think you'll get more accurate color if you set white balance to Incandescent. Very few cameras' auto WB do well under artificial lighting. But you've got a really nice camera there. Full-frame is no yoking.

That's the last SLR you'll ever really need. If you have any fun money left over after stocking up on racquets, put it toward lenses.

Your pictures actually look like you took them with an aperture partially closed, a shutter speed too high, using the high iso. If you're taking stills of equipment, use a slower shutter speed and use an iso of no higher than 800. But then again, thats' indoors. I shoot with a canon 7D, so the equivalent to your nikon.

WOW.. two rackets on polar opposite sides of the spectrum in terms of playing characteristics.

nice job... the fact that they are fed and nadal rackets have nothing to do with it?

Pretty simple answer to that, I don't use the K90's! I used them a couple of years ago.... yeah I did buy them cos of Federer (shameful I know) but then I decided to demo a bunch of other racquets out... I demo'ed Pure drives, Head Speed and Radicals, Yonex's etc and the APD was my favourite so I converted to that, been with it ever since.

Wow, more pop than the APDC?! You will have to use a lot of topspin to keep the ball in the court then.

It might just be the fact that these have new strings and my APDC's have about 10 hours on their strings. I do use silly amounts of topspin though, I've had to retire my old topspin forehand as it was injuring me, the path of the racquet went from low to high and at no point did the racquet go onto my left half of the body... if you get what I mean, it was ridiculous! I've modified it to a WW forehand now, not quite as much spin but at least I dont hurt for 2 days after a match now.

Marshredder what is your set up on your APD GTs? Strings/ tension/ Lead (if any)?

As of now, they're just how they came stock, which is excel 1.30 strings at an "average tension" (55lbs I guess?) I'm going to add weight to recreate my other APDC's (polarised, slightly head heavy), and string it up with PHT at 55lbs. I'm looking forward to trying out the new babolat string though!

wow, ktour 90 and apdc? How do you deal with the differences?

I so like different rackets as well but I worry my form will suffer :)

Congrats on the new aeros! you might have to wait a bit on RPM, 1st shipment in April.
Why don't you try hybrid excel/pht? It might be softer on your arm!
If you have heavy topspin already why not try flattening out a few?

Happy hitting!:)

It's a pretty nice bag...and really nice sticks.

But I'm really jealous of your camera. I can't wait for an excuse to get a D700 and then have to (LOL) replace my 12-24 DX with a 17-35 f/2.8.

The 17-35 is a great lens but if you want something thats spectacular, then the 14-24 is by far the best wide-angle zoom available. I have a 14-24, a 50mm and a 70-200 and it covers everything really.
