@NatF

Hewitt was 4 inches shorter than the average top players since 2008.

Keep thinking he never won again because of injuries...

lol

Did the height of the top 20 shoot up in 2006?

Also you know Hewitt is 6-5 up on Del Potro, Wawrinka and Cilic in h2h...

Besides that it's hard to tell how tall someone is in photo's due to perspective. Hewitt wasn't a tall guy for a tennis player but I don't see how that proves anything.

Well now that Sabratha has been perma banned (good riddance :p), we can have this conversation without him telling us that he's going to sacrifice our firstborn sons :laughing:

IMO the answer is Roddick + Hewitt > than Andeh. I think it's tougher to go through multiple good players than going through 1. With that being said, MurrayGOAT > than either of those guys individually.

Sab asked for his account to be deleted don’t think he got a perma ban.

In what possible way?

I disagree and it's not even what I asked.

I asked who's greater, not who's tougher to beat.

What are Roddick's and Hewitt's great 250 titles then?

Well most of their Queen's titles are pretty great - especially Hewitt's. Hewitt's got a win over a good Fed in Halle in the final too which elevates it somewhat, although was nothing to write home about otherwise. His 2000 Scottsdale win saw him beating Rios, Ferrero and Henman - not a bad draw at all. Hewitt's San Jose win in 2002 had one of the best BO3 set finals I've seen against Agassi - so for someone that cares more about one big name than anything else that should count for you...Brisbane in 2014 had him beating Nishikori and Federer. Rottadam 2004 was a 500 series but his draw then was Gonzalez, Johansson, Scheuttler, Henman and Ferrero literally 5 rounds of guys who were top 10 at one time or another so that was a great win IMO.

So yeah, more than a few great ones for Hewitt.

Might look for Arod later but I'd say at least his first two Queen's titles off the top of my head.

Good thing Sabratha isn't here lmao (he was pretty touchy about the subject). Even against both, it's still Murray. Winning head to head against both combined, more m1000s, more slam consistency, better big 3 head to head.

Titles: 46-62
?

This is where the 2 vs 1 element really shines through. Both together also have more titles than Agassi.

Hewitt beat 13 top10 to win 22 titles.
Roddick beat 1 top10 to win 21 titles.

Hewitt's 250s were good, Roddick's 250s were weak.

Strawman. Not saying that at all.

Average ranking is a garbage way to rate tournaments though...
The participation rate from UltimateTennisStatistics measures how many top players took part to a tournament.

> 90% participation rate tournaments won --> Murray 7, Hewitt 3, Roddick 1
> 80% --> Murray 16, Roddick 6, Hewitt 5
> 70% --> Murray 19, Roddick 6, Hewitt 6
> 60% --> Murray 19, Roddick 7, Hewitt 6
> 50% --> Murray 25, Hewitt 10, Roddick 7
> 40% --> Murray 32, Hewitt 14, Roddick 10
> 30% --> Murray 36, Hewitt 17, Roddick 14
< 30% --> Roddick 18, Hewitt 13, Murray 10

The Roddick+Hewitt duo leads Murray only in titles of tournaments with a participation rate lower than 30%.

Just because the participation is high doesn't mean the draw ends up being tough, participation is about the field - no doubt Murray has won more events with the full or closer to the full field. That should go without saying considering his masters exploits. Also like I said I don't think average ranking is a good metric for draw strength.

BTW I'm not claiming that all of Arod or Hewitt's 250 or 500 titles were great wins, only that some of them were - likewise Murray has some great wins in his 250 and 500 quota as well. My point was I don't think title count is meaningless, even if a lot of them are smaller titles. There can often be good matches even at that level and the bigger tournaments don't always live up to the hype.

Everytime someone compares the legend and an ATG like Murray with the likes of Roodick and Hewitt, one small cute puppy dies somewhere around the world. :(
Jeez, the blasphemy.:oops:
