Tsitsipas averaged at 4620 RPM / 77 RPS on his FH today against Davidovich Fokina:

Compare with Rafa yesterday against Grigor:

That's an average of 4620 rpm. Super high - much higher than Tsitsi's usual low 3000s.

Nadal usually averages 3300-3400 these days on clay.

Let's see how it works out for him.

Didn't watch the match, did his balls seem visibly heavier/harder to handle than expected?

Well given that he was getting beat in the rallies by even the lowly Dafok (and Aslan FTR), he's flattering to deceive even more fraudulently than his social content.

Yes. It did seem like fokina was struggling to time his shots.

Maybe he's trying to adopt a higher error margin/lower UE/grindier style for clay? Never struck me as the type

There's a very real risk of hitting short a la 15-16 Nadal, though

Tsitsipas needed 5 grueling sets to beat Nadal at the AO, and almost lost in straight sets...... So Nadal will be happy for Tsitsipas to continue that style of tennis, because its probably not good enough to take a set at Roland Garros.

Nadal could barely move in Australia yet took him all the way. Tsitsipas is not a threat to the top 10
