grommets for a St Vincent

I don't think they do. They only have for the current version.

I called Tennis Warehouse about this not too long ago, and they assured me they have them. However, they do not have the grommet set for racquets without the bumper guard. I wonder if that customer service guy knew what I was talking about?[/quote]

Because bumpers & grommets can be difficult to find and not an item all Wilson dealers choose to carry, Wilson allows its consumers to order this item directly from its headquarters in Chicago. The first time someone contacts us about this item, we will send out the first package for free. Additional sets will then be bought at a cost of $4.95 plus any applicable sales tax for US residents. Wilson accepts Visa, MasterCard or American Express. The maximum number of packages you can purchase at one time is six (6). If you wish to purchase additional packages, then you are welcome to contact us at 1-800-946-6060 (or 1-773-714-6798 for foreign countries) and leave us your name, mailing address, racket name along with headsize, the number of packages you need and your credit card information. Our voice mail is very secure.

Wow! This is the first I've heard of St. Vincent grommets being available from Wilson. Maybe TW really does have these then. The TW people have never told me any lies before.

The difference is that tie-off holes are of a different size.

It would be sweet if the bumperless grommets were available, too. I think they are in two strips, and on River Grove models the throat grommets are larger. I tried fitting China and St. Vincent grommets and it wasn't no good man.

River Grove, Illinois, was where the first Pro Staffs were made.

When you put St. Vincent grommets on a chicago or china pro staff, do the grommets turn the racquet into a real St.V?

I understand it was meant as a joke but there is actually more difference between an early St Vincent and a late St Vincent than between a Chicago and an early St Vincent...

You think you find a St. Vincent, and then you realize it's a late St. Vincent and want to shoot yourself.

Depends whether you're an Edberg or Sampras fan. I'm pretty sure that the Sampras' stash was manufactured right before they transfered the production to Taiwan.

And the Edberg fan would probably choose to kill some random lineguy rather than kill himself...

What the different between a mid-period St. Vincent and a late St. Vincent (Pete's choice)? I'm not talking about the early St. Vincent, which is what Edberg used.
