Grommets for Blade 98

I currently have a K-Factor Blade 98 and two BLX Blade 98 (Gold/Black).

I ordered grommets for the racquets, but according to TW, it's not coming in until JUNE.

I was just thinking of getting the 2015 version. Does the 2015 grommet fit onto these racquet?

If you are talking about the 16x20 pattern, yes, they should fit since the drill pattern and 'skip mains' are the same.

Did you mean 18x20? Even if that were the case, it doesn't make sense that Wilson would make a whole new set of grommets if the older ones fit.

Sometimes they are different colors, sometimes they are the exact same. But there are several instances where Esgee is correct and the newer ones fit the older model (there are some that don't. It's always a good idea to ask TW in the "Ask TW" question thread) Also, the big auction site is a good place to look, but they will usually be a couple dollars extra (around $15.00 for almost every set I have ever got there). Other places to check would be Tennis Warehouse Europe...but there you have to pay a lot of shipping (I stock up or add something else I need to make the shipping worth it).

Racquet companies don't make sense but if you do find some available, I would grab a couple sets if you like the racquet. (I just went through this with a kblade team 104...I googled it and went through 2 or 3 pages of stuff and found them at a small tennis store (small tennis stores usually will have older inventory...sometimes really cool racquets as well) You might try that route as well. Good luck on the hunt!!! I bought all the Kblade Team 104 grommets they had so I will never have to worry about it again. I think the new model had parallel drilling and that's why the new model grommets didn't fit) I honestly don't know if the new grommets will fit the model you are referring to I am unfamiliar with that racquet.

Parallel drilling? OP may be right that the grommets may not fit or have tubes that are the wrong length. Only way would be to ask in the TW subforum or buy the grommets from another site if OP cannot wait.
