This is a game in which only people who have a deep understanding of the game will excel...

So, the purpose is, based on the footage that I provide, to guess the score of the match...(It's one of the poll choices)
A few words to explain your reasoning would also be appreciated.

Disclaimer: This is the only footage that I recorded (I had to go play myself).
It is not meant to trick you or throw you off.
It is not selective footage!

So, if you're gonna b!tch and moan that I tricked you if you don't get it right, then do not participate!

Wow, tough. Both very good of course. Overall I felt like orange may have been more reliable over the long term, and blue may be prone to UEs by hitting it so hard, so Orange 6/3 6/3. Thanks for the game!

I say Blue 6-3 6-3. There isn't really enough so suggest he would win 0 and 0

Maybe just for consistency reasons. Also the body language coming from the guy in orange isn't amazing.

Merely just a guess though, wouldn't surprise me if i'm dead wrong

Guy in Blue won I believe, how much thats difficult to say but I'd be very surprised if it went to tiebreaks twice. Could of easily won love and love from the points that you showed. He moved better, read the ball better, and looked more experienced. Still not enough footage to say 100% this is what happened. Good players nonetheless.

Is one of these players you, Aphex?

I like orange guy's return of serve, but overall blue guy's just a more offensive player, from what I saw. Orange guy's serve is way worse--- in the third video he hit his best serve and the guy got it back no problem and eventually won the rally.

I say blue won 6/0, 6/0.

This is clay Blue > Orange 12-6.
On a faster surface it might go the other way around.

Blue is more offensive and Orange has the weaker serve?? Are we watching the same videos ???
I'm going with "blue = winner" but it's due to his movement and better consistency not his "better serve" or "more offensive mindset".
P.S. If I absolutely had to pick I like "Orange dude's serve" better.

I'll take Blue 3 and 3 since he seemed to take control of his service game better that Orange in the clips. Of course everyone on here knows that anything can happen at the 3.5 level. Wink, wink, nudge nudge.

I'm going with Blue as the winner 6-3 6-3. Seems to be handling Orange's offensive shots well and plays some solid defense in the few minutes that are in the videos. Of course, I wouldn't be surprised if it went the other way.

Orange 6-3 6-3. Blue tend to go out of his comfort zone- and tightens up on going for bigger serves- seems to cause a bunch of UE's where Orange is consistent on both sides, smooth serve, and seems good under pressure.

The classic battle between the baseline crusher and the speedy counter puncher.

I'm not sure of the score but me thinks the orange guy won and mainly because of that reliable backhand of his and quick feet.

They're both really good but I voted Blue 3 and 3. Orange plays a good game but Blue won more points and seemed to have more confident body language (esp in the first video).
Looking forward to seeing the answer.

I was going to go blue in 3 and 3 but after quickly looking again I'm going blue 0 and 0. I didn't see anything orange could do to hurt blue and plenty blue could do to hurt orange. Granted I'd be happy to have either's forehand.

At first I thought orange might be more conservative and consistent and grab some games from an over aggressive blue but then I watched him dump some fairly easy ones into the net. Orange also was very ineffective with his volley attempts. I also saw blue play very smart when orange had him on the run by looping the balls to give him recovery time. Blue might not have a net game either but if that's the case at least he knows it and hides it and doesn't make errors with it.

So blue: very good serve, forehand, backhand, slice backhand, overhead (from deep in the court no less), drop shot, movement, tennis smarts.

orange: good serve, forehand, overhead, okay backhand and movement and that's about it. Good player, but vs. this competition on this day I say he loses badly. Only worry is your comment about not trying to "trick" us. :)

Blue has the edge becasue of his superior serve; based upon what we saw, he's going to win more easy points on the serve.

As to the actual score, how can we tell? Blue is going to be in nearly every point on Orange's serve so I reckon 3 & 3.

They both look like pretty good players for sure. Orange seems the steadier of the two, but he seems to lack the weapons to put points away. Blue does go for too much on some of his shots, but at least he has the firepower to win points on his own terms. What I like about Blue though is that he is capable of playing defense when needed. I would guess that Blue wins 6-3, 6-3.

ok guys...I don't see much interest in this...I'll reveal the winners in about an hour...

Guessing the score of the match is just kind of an overly specific game. Guessing their rank and/or NTRP is much more fun! I'd say they're strong 3.5s

The only thing I wonder about is at what time during this match the footage was taken. If it's near the beginning I could see the Orange guy getting into the match more and doing better. More to the point, I don't really see a signifcantly better player in the Blue guy. I see more of an uninspired Orange guy, but again it depends where they are in the match. If it's towards the end then Orange is showing frustration. If it's at the beginning I see the lack of inspiration as Orange has the shots to win if he's on I think.

It was about half an hour after the start of the match.

I'm going to guess the blue one 6/0-6/0

It's difficult to say, and I agree the orange one has superior movement, but it seems to me he's got everything else against him: the blue one just seems to be better.

I could be completely wrong of course, but you can't tell from these three parts of course.

EDIT: After watching again, I'm starting to doubt. So don't flame me if it's the orange one that won 6/0-6/0. You can't really make this up from these videos, IMO...

Hmmmm....I think I'll change my answer to the Blue guy 6-0,6-0 based solely on Orange guy's body language (by the way - where's the blue? I see White guy vs Orange guy *shrug*). Again I don't think the Blue guy is necessarily that much better. I'd have to see more of the Orange guy's play in general to see if the vid play shown is typical.

I'll put my money on blue - probably 6-3, 6-3, but could be 6-0, 6-0. He seems to be able to attack and defend better than orange.

Indeed, I agree. The blue seems better here, but my feeling says the orange one is normally better, I just think he's having bad day or something.

id say orange knows how to control himself and would get better as the match went on but blue would just keep fighting on for dear life so I'm going to go for 7-6 7-6 to either one

Ok, gentlemen...

Score was:

Blue 6/0, 6/0.

The winners are: athiker, djokovicfan4life, loomano and thebuffman.

"Post of the thread" award goes to athiker:

From what I've heard, Blue was a bit of a prodigy but apparently he's fallen off a bit... He's 18 now but he had ATP points when he was 16 years old.

Orange is just a really solid club player.

Here is some more footage of Blue (it's the afro guy)

Blue looks good, maybe not 0,0 good but solid. Orange not quite there but I suspect maybe younger.
