Gulbis VS Murray Final!! (Would destroy the internet)

How would Nadal and Djokovic fans react to this final?

I'd give this about a:

Obviously I'd be really disappointed about Nole not being in the final but I'd be rooting for Murray to win it all.

I'd be pulling for the Latvian all the way. Not because Murray would have knocked my guy out, but because Gulbis has had an amazing run here, and because having two new major winners in 2014 would send out shockwaves. Most casual fans don't realize how poor Murray's results have been on clay, and wouldn't realize what a mind-bending accomplishment it'd be for him. I'm a pretty big fan of both guys, so it would be a wild final for me.

I'd be pulling for Murray, I mean what are the chances of that happening again? Maybe he could aim for the CYGS! :D

I would be very happy with such a final since it guarantees 1280 points loss for Nadal, loss of #1 rank, and slam count stuck at 13. Novak would simply defend his points from last year and get back his #1 rank.

Well, the good thing about it is that I would have a free Sunday to do other things than tennis. Not gonna happen (thankfully).

I think Nadal fans feel Murray is more a nuisance than anything else but his variety and junk should cause many problems for Gulbis if such a thing happened.

Djokovic fans would be crushed.

You don't watch slam finals if Rafa hasn't made it? Wow

Depends who it is. Murrovic would be interesting for instance. Not Murbis at RG. Just my opinion. If you're a Murray fan, of course, you would watch Murray vs anyone! Quite natural.

Last night, I had a random dream, and during it I decided to turn on the TV and checked the finals of the FO. The match was Gulbis-Murray, and Gulbis was leading 4-6 6-3 3-1.

So, it's just gonna have to happen this way now, guys.

You miss my point V - I'm surprised you don't watch all slam finals - no matter who is playing.

I would as well and strangely enough I had a dream about Murray holding all 4 slams (NOT CYGS cos he lost in AO), weird or what

I am on strong anti-inflammatories for my back, so I guess it must have been a case of back pain clouding my brain (functions).

See what dream I will have after Murray takes down Nadal tomorrow and Djoko on Sunday (too drunk to have dreams, I think) :)

Yes, I wondered about it as well.

So if Nadal retires, vero stops watching tennis full stop?

I like Borg but I would only stop watching if finals were Raonic-Isner or Janowicz-Karlovic serve fests.

Online escort services in Paris would see their websites crash from one account using Latvian plastic. Yes, the internet would implode!

Really? She's a Nadal fangirl. The nanosecond he retires she won't even care about tennis again. And won't be alone.

A lot of people here wouldn't care if their favorite player has retired.. Either that, or they would constantly whine for the "good ol' days" (i.e. Sampras fans).

Gulbis in the final? I am glad that disaster has been averted.

Djokodal or Murrovic both sound fine to me, provided Djokovic doesn't play like he did today... LOL
