not sure why you're posting this.

wrist angle way too extreme on forehand takeback
stroke itself is too flat

backhand looks decent but also too flat

movement mediocre but I guess you're not really trying here

4.0?

...? Explain

I'm talking about the beginning/middle of your takeback, where your elbow is coming back, your racquet is pointing towards your opponent, and your wrist is at a 90 degree angle. This is a flawed hitting structure that puts a lot of strain on your wrist and makes it difficult to hit properly.

Well, it works for me, and I have no wrist problems, maybe the video is hard to see and you are analyzing it wrong.

I agree, I think the video is a little too dark to make that call.

Not sure why ms87 is being so hard on you, did you do or say something bad to him?

Thanks for taking the time to post your video for the feedback from this community.

GWB I remember watching your videos from very long time ago.

You certainly have grown a lot since then.

I do see a lot of action there on your forehand, but if that's what you're comfortable with, I don't see any problem.

Ps, ms87 don't be a beotch. nobody likes a beotch

alright, your forehand is technically flawless, which is why you hit a flat ball with mediocre pace. have fun bouncing around the 4.0's.

I did not say that my forehand is technically flawless, all I was saying was that the video was dark so it might have been hard to look? I don't see why you have such hostility?

because your attitude makes it difficult for you to improve and makes it frustrating for those of us who put in the time and effort to help others' games for free.

I am telling you that your forehand is quite deeply flawed. This is a fact.

I can see that your forehand tries to mimic andy roddick - not a bad model of course, but surely you know that tennis is in the details and one bad technical flaw can mess up your whole stroke.

It can certainly be fixed and you can even retain your current wrist position and orientation, but you will need to add extreme elbow lift to your takeback. Do you understand what is happening and what should be happening?

I appreciate your tips, but I do not try to mimic Andy Roddick, not even close. I hate AR more then any other pro player, nothing in my forehand resembles AR.

I appreciate your tips, but telling me I'm trying to mimic andy roddick is RIDICULOUSLY off. I hate Roddick more than any other Pro player. No way in hell would I ever try to mimic him.

And my attitude is fine, if anything its yours, being sarcastic in your above post

alright, I can see you're not interested in improving. bye.

I can see where ms is getting at. The take back is like a one two lock and load type thing that andy also has.But the stroke itself seems more flat then andy's. But hey, w.e works. Great strokes man, Lucky you have peopel to play at night, all I can do is watch tennis and talk to my gf lol.

I can see that, I just don't like the way he comes into the thread giving me a rating without me even asking for one, and when I tel him it might be too dark to see so his assessment could be wrong, he goes ballistic and starts insulting me, and then reiterates that I should just "bounce around in 4.0"

What a ******. ms87, if you have a brain please scroll up and you'll see that it is you who started the hostility. What the hell is wrong with you man? Every time I see you post, you always have to criticize others, when in fact, you probably can't even beat this guy. Heck you'll probably get beaten by most of the posters here, since unfortunately that is the case with people who claim to serve in the 120s, but have never posted a video.

I think i can see what ms is getting at..he says you invert your racket head the way roddick does (maybe not this extreme) on your backswing making it look like roddicks take back...not sure if this is technically flawed, but from what i've seen people other then roddick hit like that they've had timing issues (and that looked like the cause of it to me anyways).

^ Link of roddick forehand.

But to me, it looks likes you hit more like federer then roddick. You only invert your racket head a little like federer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmhvKafCYsk).

Funny you should say that considering I have been watching Federer clips lately ;P

To me, this looks more Verdasco's strokes than anything else, especially the way you set up for your backhand and the backswing for your forehand.

Yes, you do sort of invert your forehand which can cause inconsistencies. However, when you invert it like that, you can also generate huge pace and spin.

Hehe, i had the feeling you might have. Fed sort of inverts his racket head to get to his hitting position easier. But too much inverting can be a bad thing, which is what ms might have thought was happening because of the really good lighting...:).

Your forehand looks nice to me. Its hard to tell about your backhand since you only hit one two hander and didnt seem to move too much for it. From that though maybe a little more extension and try a slightly less high racket take back? Besides that good.

Go away, ms. I'm sure everyone thanks you for your revelatory insights such as "wrist too angled" and "strokes too flat". USPTA material right there, with those highly nuanced and helpful observations.

you act as though people owe you a debt of gratitude.. you offer one liner critiques with little to no insight as to why there is an issue or what can be done to help resolve the issue.. You dont come across as someone who genuinely wants to help people in this section.. youve got a huge chip that squarely resides on that shoulder of yours
