H22 vs Blade v4 pro stock

I recently got my hands on a pro stock blade v4 with V8 pjs and have been really enjoying it. I have been spending time researching the different blades out there and the H22, and I am trying to decide whether to get another one or try H22s but I have no idea what they are like.

What are the differences between a pro stock blade like mine and a H22? Why do some pros use H22s and others use blades. How does the feel of each compare?

Varies wildly. H22 has a different beam: boxier. H22 comes in a variety of stiffness ratings, weights, etc.

Tsitsipas uses v4 18x20 with full bed of 4G 1.30. Feel of H22 is very close to Blade V5. V4 was more harsh and less plush.

I wonder what the difference is between the blade v4 pro stock and the regular v4 besides the paint job. Have you done any measurements?

So I guess this is yours?

I don’t see any difference between this pro stock and retail v4.

This is a h22

So stiffness is quite a bit different and so is the beam shape. Box vs rounded. Rest of the specs vary depending on how customized the racquet is.

Not sure what the difference is. I played with a V5 for years, then RF97, and now the pro stock V4. Thanks for the info.

Is there a retail racquet example that may feel more similar to the h22? just to get an idea of how it feels.

H22 and Blade Pro are not even close in any aspect, only head size and paint. H22 is much closer to Radical than to Blade. Blade Pro is almost similar to retail Blade and H22 is not even close

dude they are the same. I have hit with both. You all trying to sell h22s for $500 keep spreading this nonsense.
Blade pro feels like a head Austrian radical. I own both. Its doesn’t feel at all like a retail blade.

It doesn’t feel like a pt630. It feels like an Austrian bumblebee radical. The h19 is more like the pt630.

h22 and blade pro are wilsons version of the old school radical pro.

I have them both and h22 is more like radical than blade pro and h22 feels plusher and not stiff as blade pro. Overall feel is much better with h22 imo

H22 has multiple layups and patterns. As per dr325i - "H22 comes in different layups, from very soft (~55RA) to middle (~60) to stiff (>65RA)"

You probably just have one of the softer layups of the H22 and that why it feels plusher and less stiff.
Blade Pro is ONE specific layup/variation of the H22 that was produced by Wilson for retail through Pro Labs - they probably selected the most versatile variation of the H22 layup to make the Blade Pro.

If Power Players H22 was close to the Retail BP then it is not a surprise if they play the same to him and similarly yours could be different enough to feel different.

This is one of the most ignorant things I’ve read on this forum in a while. H22 is an umbrella term for that particular mold. Blade pro is an H22 mold. There are different layups within that H22 mold for different versions. The blade has a “D” shaped mean. All H22 molds, including the Blade Pro, have a 22 mm box beam.

My opinion and it stays

You opinion conflicts with reality.I dont think you can take an alternate opinion on facts of a manufactured tangible item.

You might not like how the blade pro plays and that’s fine. But it’s a retail H22 mold.
Where did I say that it's not? I don't care about mold, that's for you and others like you to talk about. I was talking about my opinion about those two racquets, so move on

The thing is, there are not just 2 racquets. There are many versions of the h22 and the retail blade pro is one of them. So technically if you compare two different versions of the h22 they will feel different yes.

They are pretty high swing weights but lower static weights.

Again , I was talking about my H22 and my Blade Pro. That's how I feel. I'm not talking about layups, molds and different versions this two racquets. I don't care about that at all.

Yes, he probably has one of those 55RA H22s, they do feel very different than the Blade Pro - lets leave the man alone! He has asked multiple times that we stop bothering him.

So the v4 pro stock is the same weight and swing weight as retail?

Tennisnerd did a video review of the Blade Pro and was disappointed that it lacked the feel of the H22 that he has.

The V8 improveed a bit the feel of the v7 blade pro

He has VS Gut in his mains, I saw his rackets at my stringers shop a few months ago in his H22's.
Yeap he was struggling with elbow pain but has returned to full 4G since then :)
He also tried Gut/Alu but preferred Gut/4G back then when he had pain.
