Was ok. Tied up some loose ends, but was a little more serious, darker. Lacked some of the light pizzaz of the series I thought. Worth a watch though. I don't remember Dax being in the movie, though candidly I only just found out he was her husband in the last year or so

This is one TV adaptation which far exceeded the the film that it was based on. Joss Whedon had greater freedom to do what he wanted with the TV series than his own film version of 1992.

Jay North seemed perfect for the TV role that ran from 1959-63. But he used pretty much the same (loud) delivery for Westerns & everything else he acted in. It did not work well for those other roles
