we got a couple video game posts here, so let's talk about the big daddy comin' up, HALO 2!!! any body else as stoked as me about this one? post your gamertag and we can get some tw board multiplayer games goin' on. maybe even a tw clan... i can't really get into video games so much, but i still play halo 1 from time to time,so you know the new one is gonna be POOPY!! plus it'd be cool to voicechat with some of you cats about tennis, 'cuz noone i know is really into it. any thoughts?

well, if you like 1st person shooters, halo 2 will be the best game ever released. i've been looking forward to it's release for over 2 years, and i'm not really much of a gamer at all. the original halo sucked me right in and i put in some serious hours on that,and still play it from time to time, and it was the 1st xbox game released if i'm not mistaken. anyway, i like the mouse and keyboard too, but you can definitely get used to the xbox controler if you invert the y-axis. my gamertag is major smoker, so if anyone wants to add me to their friends list, we can do some halo 2 or topspin, and rainbow six is pretty sweet too. its about to get cold here,so less time for tennis means more time sittin on my ass playing video games. peace

Halo 2 will be without a doubt the best FPS so far. Doom 3 was a major dissapointment, and Half Life 2 will likely be good, but no one will touch Halo 2 for quite some time. I'm guessing it will be one of the highest grossing video games of all time.

Halo is very different from Q3

It is much slower.

There are no special moves like strafe jumping and rocket jumps.

There are vehicles

THe PC version did not have many of the customizable features quake players demand.

I played the 3 levels of the Doom 3 demo and they were disappointing. 'Far Cry' is easily better to me.

Let's hope Half-life 2 is better than Doom 3. (Shouldn't be hard to top it)

Anyone else think Unreal 2 was rubbish?

Halo was freakin voted the best game ever made. If it wasn't, it should be. Halo 2 is going to be amazing. A TW Clan would be awesome, but I don't have Live either. Wouldn't it be awesome to dual wield tennis racquets?

Halo was not voted "best video game of all time" and for good reason. The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time is the holder of that title and will probably hold that title for many years to come.

I hate console fps but I have to admit, Halo is definitely my favorite game of all time. It's the only game I can play year after year without getting bored. Multiplayer is just so much fun with friends.

Any dsl or cable line. Just use the one you have for the internet. Get a router and you'll be all set.

well fellas, i don't have a hdtv, bought i ordered this vga adaptor from this site and it is the poopy!! www.x2vga.com it does all high def for xbox 480i thru 1080i, and has an optical input for digital surround. it was like 80 bones with shipping, but it was cheap compared to a hdtv (until i get a biga$$ one) and well worth it. oh yeah, halo 2 is the raw DEAL!!! gamertag- Major Smoker, add me to your friends list and lets get it on!!!

Is the picture really crisp? Does it look like you're playing a PC game on a CRT monitor or does it look like you're just playing a console game on a 17" TV? I have a 17" monitor also and I want to make sure that the resolution is high.

Do you connect it through your pc or do you just disconnect the monitor from the pc and use it with the xbox? I was going to have to buy a router and cable for xbox live but if I have this, I wouldn't need it. I could just spend the money on the adapter.

I am a bit disappointed in the ending of Halo 2.

1. I really didn't play it all that much, and I am already done (on the "normal" setting). I remember getting a lot more hours of playtime with the original Halo.

2. A cliffhanger ending!?!?! what?!?!! I feel like I got ripped off. Now if you want to see how it ends, you will have to by Halo 3. Not me. Halo 3 won't be a better game, it will only have the ending, I'm sure....I won't buy that.

who cares about the story? the gameplay is tight as hell and the online setup is dope. play it on legendary then come back and talk to me. are you on xbox live btw? that would make a huge difference in your critique of the game. i was setting myself up to be let down by this game, but i gotta say,even though they took some of the anticipated features, this game is wicked!!!

I am playing it on legendary.

I wasn't complaining about the gameplay, its a good game, but it really isn't much different than any other good 3rd person shooter.
I do have XBox Live. XBox Live is good, but really what I'm complaining about is that Microsoft/Bungie cut the game short to leave out an ending that should be in the game in the first place. I'm not buying Halo 3 just because they wanted to squeeze and extra $50 out of the fans that bought Halo 2.

I just got this game. Yes I'm behind the times, but it's only because I have the power to resist the hype and not be totally manipulated by money grubbing corporations.

Anyway, I'm only interested in the single player and it's very good, but some of the novelty has worn off since the original.

I like the Aliens' spiritual take on the things in the universe. It's a nice touch.
