I am trying to use my left hand to gain more power on my backhand (I'm right-handed) and it has resulted in pain. Everytime I hit a backhand, my hand hurts in between the knuckles of my ring finger and pinky. I think it happens because when I cockk my wrist the racket pushes against my left hand. I don't know how to circumvent this while still getting the same amount of power. Any suggestions? Thanks

If you're trying to master the two-handed backhand, it'll be useful to note that the power should come almost solely from the left hand, not the right. Thus the racquet shouldn't be pushing against anything, since you'd be holding it with your left hand.

Relax and let the racquet absorb the shock. :D I've been having problems recently because I clenched up during my past few lessons.
