Did she change racquet brand?

She's played with every brand under the sun it seems.

I guess whoever pays the bills, gets the stencil as she doesn't win alot of matches.

That's a surprise change. There was one or two of her racquets for sale at the string forums many years ago and I think that they were Prince models.

I don't know what it is. I remember a few years ago, one of the pro stringing log threads reported that her racket was almost 14 oz in weight. I wonder how much it weighs.

I had a look at the posts for the three frames that were sold and none of them had the weight. It appears that buyers didn't care about the weight. The last one I looked at sold for a pretty good price.

She was playing with a Warrior Pro. So now she's with HEAD? Hmmm.
Well, her results are not what they were.. but she has a pretty good grasscourt game.

Hey guys. I watched her and got a pic with her at the Nottingham open today. She lost her singles in 3 and doubles in strait sets but she played well in the doubles. She was using a instinct pj with no stencil, she had an tour team bag from last year that looked battered. From close up, looked it could be a instinct, she was using a hybrid with the gut in the mains. Hope this possibly helps.

I couldn't see her swinging anything close to 14oz, she's like skin and bones. The picture looks like Lux on the mains and VS on the crosses, instead of the other way around.

She had Lux/gut at the French, but here in Nottingham its Gut/Lux

I have weighed the rqt myself.

This is because you are comparing professional athlete, who harnesses the power of her legs, hips, and core on about 99% of their shots, with mere mortals like you, me, and 99% of posters around here who "arm" the ball about 40% of the time on a good day.

Trust me, 14oz is not heavy to a pro athlete...hell half the girls in the 70's had heavy wooden sticks. She doesn't have a fast whippy stroke..so the weight makes total sense.

It's not so much the static weight as the swingweight. I used to use 17 ounce racquets in the 1990s. But the swingweight was about 330.

Anymore pics of the new stick? She just made QFs of Birmingham.
I love her grass-court game. Very stylish, elegant, old-school shots/technique. Unfortunately she can't move worth a dern, tho.

I agree. Even in 1980s and 1990s, heavy rackets were the norm. Sabatinni had a racket around 14oz too. Only TT players have trouble swinging a 12oz racket for 3 sets.

My same answer applies...Pro Athlete, perfect use of core, hips, legs...we simply can't relate.
