Happy birthday Rafa.

Sad to see he starts his 30s being injured...story of his life.

If there was a paperback book on Rafa, it would be called - Injuries, divorce and grand slams, the true story of Rafael Nadal.

Nadal now joins fellow top tenners Federer, Wawrinka, Tsonga and Berdych in having completed his 3rd decade on Earth. That's now fully half the present top 10!

The Old Guard marches on (for now)!

;)

Tsonga's out of the top 10 after RG. Only 4 of the top 10 are 30 and above.

Avg age with Thiem coming in: 28.5

Hopefully someone bought him some hanes underwear, they dont ride up. Always a bad gift, but could be a great one for rafart

Pity we won't see Rafa today on the court, would have been amazing.

All the best, hopefully he'll be fit for Wimbledon and more importantly Olympic Games.

Happy birthday Rafa. You gotta have a messy one now you're 30 and to forget about your latest injury woes. All the best in your recovery.

Read it, very good book. Just feel he wrote his book way too early, so much more happened after that book came out.

Another needs to be written imo.

I think, Rafa's second autobiography will be written. Rafa keeps in regular contact with John Carlin, who collaborated with Rafa on the first autobiography.

Remember him in Rome '06 final like it was yesterday; he was still only 19 back then....wow how time flies...

I still picture him in his pirate pants, armless vest, long dark hair and bandanna. He looked like an Apache warrior, so different from other tennis players!

U lost me on the divorce part ???? Ooo not his own, gotcha

This "Deleted member 77403" was salty. The paperbook of Rafa was published in 2011. The "Deleted member 77403" didn't know this even 5 years after that.

Magandang Karawan to the Clay Specialist who happens to have the most Outdoor titles in the open era, most outdoor wins in the open era, highest outdoor winning percentage in the open era, leads the h2h vs his 2 biggest rivals outdoors in 2 out of 3 surfaces, does not have a losing h2h vs any opponent 2 or more wins outdoors etc.

This clay specialist should be remembered along with guys like Bruguera, Muster, and Vilas. He was able to benefit from the Clay skew with all those Green Clay (Har-Tru) tournaments and racking up slams with 2 out of the 4 slams being played in Clay like 1975-1977. Clay is the weakest surface quick easy points,. Wait....Wait....Wait Not true, not true.
