Happy Hour at Tennis Warehouse!

I think it's about time to give up....

TW has the best customer service (by far) - but these happy hours are have become a bit of a joke. As an alternative maybe TW can start offering other promotional discounts like the other tennis sites?

TW also has great prices on great stuff all the time. Happy Hour is just a few things over and above that. The Head bag looks cool and is an awesome deal. Don't need one but I am still tempted.

The Monogut reel is a rip off. It comes out to $13.60 a set... but if you buy 4 or more single sets it comes out to $12.40 with the muti-buy discount

Ahh, Head bags, nothing like a giant bag with just 4 or 5 massive pockets that act like a swimming pool for your small items.

Remember when you used to be items you actually wanted on the Happy Hour Sale menu?

It seems that it's just clearance items of things you never wanted to buy in the first the place.

I used to look forward to Happy Hour to see what I was going to snag this week. It feels like I haven't made a Happy Hour purchase in a long time.

TW just updated the page, and I think they realized how anemic it was. They threw in the Vapor X.

Not a post regarding Happy Hour but I'm about to place an order on TWE for two Nike items. It's going to be about $64 cheaper than if I were to order them here from home. Actually tried to place the order three times already but each attempt failed. As I guessed, my bank stopped the transaction as fraud protection:p
Trying again...and BAM, ORDERED!:D

Thanks and it sure is! What helps is that they're currently having a 30% off sale apparel promo. What I got would have cost $180 and some change here, and there, I believe the total was 100,35 Euros or $116 and some change. They have a 20% off all shoes promo and I wanted to get some Vapor Xs but I just can't afford too much right now. I can't even afford what I did buy:p

Thanks! I was looking at either of these pairs. There's actually several things I would have liked to have gotten. I've never gotten anything from Le Coq Sportif before. I've ordered from TWE before but usually because they offered a few styles that TW here didn't.

Nice. I head Le Coq tends to go slimmer but I've never owned anything of theirs so don't know for sure. Make sure you know the size! And good luck!

Thanks. I won't be getting anything too soon from them. Have you ever ordered from TWE before? As you can imagine, it's quite simple. Try ordering from Amazon China. That is a giant pain in the asssssss:confused::eek::D

Yeah TW and TWE rock, for sure. Make it all such an easy, consumer friendly experience. Never ordered from Amazon China and don't plan to either. Have heard horror stories myself lol

Speaking of TW rocking, I even want to give them props for hooking it up in the past but I don't want to let everyone know what they did because then they might want to do the same. You can PM me if you're curious though;):D

All I ordered from Amazon China were a few CDs and some movies. It's just hard because all of the other Amazon overseas are pretty much just like Amazon US but China's is a bit different and there's something things that can't be translated.

For those that are giving TW a hard time because there haven't been some great deals, I can understand you being disappointed but I wouldn't be too hard on them. They're still a fantastic shop with an amazing selection. Also, they do price-match so...:)

I've done that a few times, but you do need to be careful. If your total goes over a certain amount (can't remember how much...maybe $300?), you'll have to pay a Customs fee, which can easily wipe out your $64 savings.

Oh it sure could. I've ordered from overseas a number of time as I'm also a movie collector and I've never had to pay customs but my orders are normally not too expensive. Thanks for the heads-up!

It’s totally case by case.
TWE sends items by Fedex and fedex might charge brokerage fee for $XX.
Also tax duty might be 25-30% depending on products.

I ordered several items from TWE and I had to pay import tax.
Fedex sent the import tax bill after I received the package.

If I wasn't already stocked with synthetic I'd pick up a reel or two. I believe there were two versions of the Volkl SG and the Classic is the one I liked more. It was crisp and was also good in the comfort department. Not too bad either in a hybrid as a cross. I think Gosen played a bit more firm but had a more slick coating. I could use either.
