hard courts games are boring-be honest

just compare the matches that we saw at this years australian open to the matches that were played on the us open hard courts. the ao matches were so much more enjoyable. do you think that short rallies and unreturnable serves are helping tennis to become more popular? no wonder the atp has slowed down the surfaces.
be honest.

Agreed.
Safin the Man said almost the same thing: he enjoyed playing on Rebound-Ace more cos it was slower than Deco-Turf, even though his big game is suited to fast courts with that surface.
But, nevertheless, compare what's happening now to say, a Sampras-Rafter hardcourt final 10 years ago....I know which surface I'd prefer to watch a match on....

Before the semis, I thought this was some of the best slam tennis I've seen all year on both the men's and women's sides. How many more 5-setters do you want?

Agreed. Watching endless baseline rallies is right up there with watching paint dry. Its bad enough that I have to put MUTE on so I don't have to listen to all the grunting and shrieking.

But ACE, it's not the clay-court specialist's fault - it's the administrators at each Open who are to blame.
Didn't this years' Director of Australian Open resign over all the **** he got over the Rebound-Ace being slowed down too much?
