Hardest Shot to Hit?

We are not including crazy winner shots...just in general, if all shots were at the same speed, which would be the hardest shot to hit? (Overheads, volleys, swing volleys, half-volleys, drop shot fh, drop shot bh, baseline fh, baseline bh, serve, approach, ...)

I'm going with half-volleys.

Half volleys are indeed tough, especially when you gotta put angle and depth.
But backhand overhead for a WINNER, using depth, not pace, is pretty up there.
First flat serve out wide.
Forehand into the court, they can all be hard at times.

For some reason right now..its the backhand slice...I know im doing something wrong..but i just can't get my finger on it. It usually goes into the net. This used to be my best shot from my backhand side..i could aim it pretty well and skid it short or deep anywhere. I've lost it now..but hopefully i can get it back and better then before :)

It's easier because when you're jammed at the net, you give up a easy winner to your opponent.
When you're jammed at the baseline, and the other guy is also at HIS baseline, you can call your "jam" a dropshot or angle, and get away with it.

Do you mean shot which poses the greatest level of difficulty/skill to hit properly? (When given an optimum ball)

If so I would say the twist serve.

If I am playing Nadal, his lefty hook forehand that is short and angular to my BH this after he had stretched me wide to my FH, is tough to return down the line, and I think that's Federer's problem too!

We are here in Cairo/Egypt where my daughter is playing ITF Women Futures. At the venue of the F1 Golf Solaimaneyah resort (Feb 27-March 1) the winds were gusting at speed more than 100 km, and it was very cold. I was practicing with my daughter and hitting against the wind. I hit a powerful forehand that crossed the net by several feet and crossed the T on the other side, but the ball returned unbounced to me and landed on my side. Thus, my second take is hitting a ball against the storm!

That's a fun shot to do, but the problem is that it has to bounce high in order to get back over the net which makes it not a true dropshot. I've done it by accident on 3 occasions I can remember and I was able to return one of them just as it was going back to my opponent's side. My opponent was very close to saying something about the reach over judging from his reaction, but he realized that his shot had already bounced on my side.

I have to say it would be the BH overhead swing-half-volley drop shot approach from the baseline.

I'm going with half-volleys.

Flying Overheads.

hardest shot in the book: Backhand overhead smash... without any doubt.

Hardestshot for me personally:

1) having to return a knifing/penetrating slice while on the run.

2) Shoe-lace volleys

oh and of course the backhand overhead smash for sure, but I hardly ever use that shot anyway.

I love the high backhand volley. I think a lot of players have trouble with that shot because they got so used to slicing their bh volleys which thankfully is a habit I've never developed.

Hitting a Topspin forehand volley instead of an overhead. If you're on fire there's a high likelihood that shot will go in otherwise probably net or over the fence

For me it's definitely the high ball to the backhand. I'm struggling with my backhand right now because I'm trying to fix it.\

lob volley (for what normal humans hit). Overhead drop-shot (we've got a 4.5 here that pulls it off regularly... that boy ain't raght...).
