I know there have been instances of a man defeating 3 past and future champions of a Grand Slam at the same Grand Slam.

Some that come to mind:

1983 Australian Open - Wilander defeated Tanner, Kriek, and Lendl
1984 US Open - McEnroe defeated Edberg, Connors, and Lendl
1985 Wimbledon - Curren defeated Edberg, McEnroe, and Connors
1987 US Open - Lendl defeated McEnroe, Connors, and Wilander
1990 US Open - Sampras defeated Lendl, McEnroe, and Agassi
1992 Wimbledon - Agassi defeated Becker, McEnroe, and Ivanisevic
2001 US Open - Sampras defeated Rafter, Agassi, Safin (all past champions) - lost final
2009 US Open - Del Potro defeated Cilic, Nadal, and Federer

Hard to do in this era as there are not many people who hold slam wins, and the ones that win are ones that would be on that list.

I don't know if I'm correct, but Nadal at Roland Garros 2007 beat Del Potro, Hewitt, Moyá, Djokovic and Federer.
The bolded ones were already Grand Slam champions

There are 6 guys still playing that have won slams.

Fed (all 4)
Nadal (all 4)
Djok (all 4)
Murray (near retirement) (W, USO)
Stan (AO, FO, USO)
Cilic (USO)

It appears the best way to do it would be going through a tough USO draw, as all 6 have won there.

And delpo! but he also has USO

I might be misinterpreting the question, but I thought the goal was to find a player who beat three champions at the event, ie 3 past RG champions at RG. unsure though.

The OP meant at the time that they were defeated, they had already won a GS at that specific tourney. Fed would be the pefect example at this year's FO if he takes out Stan, Rafa, Nole. They all have won the FO in the past.

So still Nadal's Roland Garros 2007 draw is within the examples of the OP.

Yes, I believe that is what I said, which is why Hewitt or 07 Federer don't count at RG.
