Has anyone experienced these pains?

I'm having a slight discomfort in the heel of my foot. I wouldn't say it's the bottom of the heel but above the curve of heel where the achilles tendon is attached. On them back right side. I've been icing it but it is still a little sensitive to the touch if I press hard. I'm also stretching my achilles and calf using downward dog yoga pose.

Has anyone else experienced this pain?

Also I have some discomfort on the top of my collarbone where it meets the shoulder. Or this one?

Any information and insight as to how to treat is greatly appreciated. I've rested the shoulder for about 6 weeks now and the foot about 3. I had an ab muscle pull but with 4 weeks of rest and no ab work coupled with nightly icing that has gone away. I unfortunately think these are a result of too much physical activity and insufficient rest. I was playing ice hockey twice a week, tennis twice a week, and working out the remaining days.

Is it the tendon or the bone?
I have achiles tendonitis and my pain is more towards the calf, sometimes i have to stop because if i work it too hard it feels like it will snap.
What helps is taking a little while off from tennis, or not working that hard.
Put some of that cream/lotion (i don't know what it was that i used) and wrap it for at least 2 weeks. And when you do get back to using it, take it slow.
You need to give your body time to rest man, you can't punish your body like that with giving it a little break.

I think you pretty much have plantar fasciitis localized in the heel area.

You probably don't wear proper shoes (not flexible enough) or you might need orthotics. Also, your body needs rest.

Is the pain greater in the morning as you get out of bed and step on the ground? If so, it may be plantar fasciitis. Nasty pain.

I had it about 7 yrs ago after getting over-enthusiastic with a new exercise program which included jumping rope. I overdid it, jumping on a very hard surface (no flex to reduce the stress on the foot).

I remember that the pain was greatest in the morning as I would step out of bed. I could not stand up without feeling excruciating heel pain. The pain would eventually recede after walking a bit - but I needed orthotics and stopped jogging for a few months to allow it to heal. It was amazing how the orthotics allowed me to walk without pain as the feet were healing.

that's a pretty good description of plantar fasciitis.

You guys are right on about the plantar fascitis

I didn't mention I was jumping rope and I have since stopped because of the pain. The pain is greater in the morning! One boarder mentioned the shoes and I also thought that it could possibly be from my Adidas Barricade III. The feel a little "loose" in the heel although I have not changed my shoe size. My foot maybe moving around in that area.

I'm getting back on the courts hopefully tomorrow or thursday with orthotics in my shoes. The only problem is that the orthotics are about 4 years old and show serious wear.

Does any body see a podiatrist for these or do you order them yourselves? I had mine made from molds of my feet at a sports medicine Dr.

Thanks again everyone. My hockey career is over. Although I love it, I love tennis and I'm going to take up golf.

they must be flexible in the right spot

NB 800 killed my heel. Switched to Nike Air Oscillates and Wilson, and Spenco full length ready made orthotics ($30), not as good as custom made, but ...
