Has anyone had a bad experience with thorlos

I personally do not like the feel of Thorlos at all. A ton of people i know swear by them because of thier extra padding. To me, the extra padding gives the shoe a mushy feel like your feet are wrapped by a sponge. I usually wear regular nike socks without problem, but when i started wearing some thorlos i got blisters. I think im gonna give up on Thorlos. They are expensive too.

Go to Costco and get the pack of athletic crew socks. They have some padding, not as much as Thorlos, but not too thin either.

I went to thin socks after numerous "tennis toe" and bunion episodes wearing Thorlos. I currently have been wearing Ultimax. I got 6 pairs about 5 years ago and I can't wear them out. My feet are feeling much better too.

I find Thorlos to be too baggy and prone to slipping on your foot. Their no-shows are particularly bad - when I owned them, it was often the case that I'd have to take a shoe/s off while playing to pull the heel back up over the back of my foot.

Any of the premium footings by The Big 2 blow away Thorlos, IMO.

I gave up wearing Thorlo's also. I agree with your assessment about feeling like a sponge. I could feel my feet sliding in the socks inside my shoes. I went to all cotton WigWam socks. It was a very good decision for me.

thorlos are good for double socking, and are okay for just one pair. The nike dri-fits are pretty good because they are relatively padded but not slippery.

I also had negative experiences with Thorlos as my feet moved around too much in it and I've twisted my ankles a couple of times.

I've now got 8 pairs in my drawer collecting dust ...

Yeah, I don't like Thorlos, either. They slide too much inside my shoes which causes my toes to slam into the front of my shoes when I stop abruptly causing toe jamming and black and blue toes and toenails.

I too have had bad experiences with Thorlos. I swore my toe nails had gain fungus (or discoloration) because of my toe slamming to the front of my shoes. It's not because my shoes were too big. It didnt feel comfy either, since it felt like it was gripping my feet too much, and it didnt feel soft at all.

My roommate thinks of thorlos as a god. I think of it as the devil.
Cheap COSTCO or Sams club socks are a lot better IMO.

I hate thick socks, my foot slides like crazy, there's that sponge feeling and then they smell terrible after wearing them. I use the adidas thin moisture wicking socks now, they are great.
