I was at the school courts. There are 3 in a row. I was hitting all alone with my ball machine on the last court. No one there but me. Half hour later a guy and his aprox. 8 year old kid show up. No big deal I think....until they decide to play on the court right next to me vs. leaving a court in between us.

They brought one ball...yes...one ball. I had balls scattered in the back court of my court and a half dozen that were on the middle court. They start playing, dancing around my stray balls. The little kid can't even make contact and frames shots on my court and runs in front of my maching throwing balls out. I politely say, "sir, it might be better if you left the middle court open.". His response....." na, we're ok here.". WTF????? I then said, "it's not safe for him to run in from of a ball machine, he could get hurt.". His response......na were ok on this court.

I just kept hitting, my balls would bounce to the back fence and shoot over to their court. I just kept going. They left after 15 minutes. What is wrong with people?

Yeah, that has happened to me... almost every time the adult asks if the kid can hit some from my ball machine too. I usually say yeah, and after the kid misses or shanks every shot for about 20 balls and the old man shouts useless encourament like "Watch the ball! Watch the ball!" or "Swing!" a half second late, then they move on. That or the kid runs around picking up balls and dropping them into the hopper... I'm cool with that.

Some people just aren't the brightest. Just like others when you say "hey" to someone they don't even respond.

Not exactly like your story but everytime I want to practice my serves I always take an end court. I start serving about 20 minutes and really get into the rhythm, then some weekend warrior shows up taking the court next to mine, even though there are about 5 other open courts. I casually continue serving, but I keep getting distracted by the guy's grunting. I see him serving with some pace, but they all land around the baseline or into the net, no placement whatsoever. I finally get aggravated and pick up my balls and leave, he then stops me and asks if I would like to rally with him. Being the nice person I am I say sure but only for about 10 minutes. We play and of course he can't get the ball into play without lobbing it. Why does this happen about 90% of the time when I'm alone....
