Fair. Yeah, at this this stage it's hard to see him making inroads, isn't it?

Do you think Draper could win a major at some point in the future? Something like a USO if he could avoid Sinner in the draw one year?
I find it hard to think of anybody other than Sinner or Alcaraz winning slams. I know somebody else has to, but I think last year might be as good as it gets for Draper. I'm not sure, haven't even watched a lot of him. I'm mainly thinking he's another overhyped Brit clone, although I probably wouldn't have expected him to win Indian Wells either.

Fate operates in mysterious ways... Federer tore up the tour and displayed unprecedented dominance, only to be denied by a resurgent Guga and Nadal in three separate years.

Djokovic looked poised to take it with no major rival left in sight but succumbed to nerves in 2021.

Sinner definitely has the level and the all-surface prowess but sometimes it just takes a very tiny flap of a butterfly's wings to alter the course of his fate. I give him a 30% chance overall, which is not low the the way.

Both Sinner and Carlo are big fistpumpers no? Cant see that one is more annoying than the other.
At the end of the day my opinions don't mean more than anyone elses (y) personally, Sinner is just so much more boring, and the cringy pumps and racquet shakes and box stares after EVERY point grind me, but..... Again I'm speaking for me.

idk, maybe draper or alcaraz. behind djoker, djoker is on his retirement tour though. sinner used to be next in line for my favorite.
Draper is superb. Tall lefties with big power and great movement are so good to watch. I would really like to see him make another US Open run.

Can't we just celebrate what he's actually won? If you pull at the "almost" thread you have to acknowledge he almost won RG like he almost lost at Wimbledon to Grigor.
You never want to start thinking about the fact that you are almost at the finish line against Carlitos in particular.

Those crunch moments with the biggest pressure possible is when he will play his absolute best. The guy can be three consecutive match points down and run everything down like a rabbit and hit five consecutive passing shot winners without an error.

The CYGS is a ridiculous expectation. That is out. However, I think that a 3-slam season is needed; based on all of the peak Big 3 comparisons that we’ve seen.

Sinner needs to bag the USO this year to really make a statement.

A USO title would do the following for Sinner;

allow him to join Laver, Federer, and Djokovic as the only players in the Open Era to bag 5 slam titles in a 2 calendar year period.

Would allow Sinner join Federer as the only players to bag consecutive hard court slams.
He would also be the first player to defend a USO title since Rog in 2008.

Yes I see him winning the USO in either 2026/27 and will be a Wimbledon champion, after he wins the USO

Funny how the fan thing works. I think in general I like the same types of players that you do (I think we both understand how important charismatic players like Nadal and Shelton are to the health of the sport) but we diverge wildly when it comes to Sinner. :-D

Where are you at on Draper? Are you coming round to Rune or is he too bratty?

Draper seems cool, I have to watch him more. Rune is kinda vanilla lol, neither here nor there. I definitely don't dislike him.
