all court player. right now im using zoom cage 3's and i really like them, but can't find any on **** in my size.

watched reviews of zoom cage 4s, which most said were pretty bad.

considering vapor pros, ubersonics, and maybe barricades if they aren't too clunky like cage 4s.

thanks for the help.

I don’t like my Gel Res 8s- ok fit, poor cushion so I have insoles. They don’t feel like the Gel Res 6s, which were light & super comfortable. I like the Ubersonic 3s so I may go try the Uber 4s.

I went from cage 3 to the gel resolution 8. I also like the vapor cage 4, it is actually quite good. I just like the resolution better.

Mizuno Wave Exceed Tour 4 AC is a hidden gem.

For reference, my other favorite atm is the Rush Pro 2.5 (2019).

I'm currently using the 2021 Rush Pro 2.5 and it's a good shoe. Fits my feel well, feels comfy out of the box, and doesn't break down until it wears out, which it does faster than some other shoes but it has a six month durability warranty. I get about three months out of them on medium speed hardcourt. Those using this show in the California desert, on those slow gritty hard courts, report the shoe lasts about five or six weeks.

Due to supply issues, Wilson seems to have taken down their tennis footwear section on their website.

For me, I'm looking at the new KSwiss Ultrashot 3 and the New Balance 996v4 shoes. If I ever get around to trying them, I'll let you know what they feel like (to me, at least). But I think that you should give the Cage 4's a go if you liked the previous iterations.

On another note, I used to wear these shoes called the adidas Barricade Classic Bounce shoes, which basically felt like a softer version of the Barricade line of shoes. With those shoes being discontinued, I've tried the Asics Gel Res 6 (one of the best shoes I've ever had), but I've also tinkered with the KSwiss Ultrashot line, the Head Revolt 3.0 (my current shoes), and the adidas SoleMatch bounce (imo the worst of the bunch). I wouldn't recommend the new adidas shoes, but I think the Ultrashots are worth a shot, as well as the Asics Gel Res 8 (if they're anything like the 6).

I was thinking that as well, but I went back & re-read his post, and he never said they 'lasted 2 years', just that he hasn't bought them in 2 years. Could be he stocked up on 5-6 pairs and is just now running out (that is what I do when I find shoes I like).

He said he’s using the zoom cage 3s. He might have bought a boatload of these shortly after they were discontinued.

Zoom cage 4's are actually quite good, so are
Nike GP Turbo and
Asics FF2 but the GOAT shoe if you can find it is the
Asics Speed Solution 2 from 6 years ago.
