Head Auxetic Gravity Official Thread

going to do a visual experiment next time I bring my old Radicals in to get restrung and lay them on top of one of the Gravity MP they have. I'm pretty sure the hoops will look very similar except for 10 and 2 where the tear drop takes shape on the Gravity

Hello guys. A little help please.
Last 2 years I have been playing with Speed Pro 2021, I like the racket but my arm doesnt. First I had shoulder problems, then elbow and now wrist pain. Just seems to be to demending for me.
Im looking to replace it with Gravity Tour 2023 Auxetic... I like the same head size, same 18x20 pattern as Speed Pro, but its a little lighter.
Im more of a baseline player, flat hitter.

Any reccomendations about the Gravity Tour? Does this change from Speed Pro to Gravity Tour make any sense to you?

Thank you.

No racquet should cause this pain.
Could it be due to the (little available) technique?

Rackets surely can contribute to this pain - but I would do two things:

1. Check with different strings and then a different racket ( get one from friends, shop etc to test), see if the pain improves
2. If not - see a doctor. I know this forum suggests that every pain is directly attributed to the frame, but some of this can be serious injuries

The Gravity Tour is surely a great frame, but it isn't a buttery arm friendly live saver still
Neither of us can say for sure from here, but it sounds like you could use a lighter racket if your shoulder hurts, too

Check out the Gravity MP as well - if it seems unstable, you can always add weight in form of lead tape

Weighted up my Gtour 2021 to 338g static, 31.8cm balance and 325kg swingweight! Did not know that 8g could make such a difference! It’s a completely different racquet - more stable, plusher and more powerful. The serve is better with its lighter version though (329g, 32.4cm balance, 325kg swingweight). Still cant find the right balance with this racquet to have it all. I am starting to believe what many people say, that Gtour is simply not Gpro and it’s easier to get Gpro. I lack control with Gtour, it behaves launchy quite often. I still cant trust this frame.

Has the MP L ever been done before? Is it the same 295g racquet with an extra 1/2" length and beefed up swing weight?

As a Tfight 305 user who adds weight - curious to how switching to a Gravity pro. Enjoy the tfight and its 18x19 pattern. But I’m kinda getting tired tinkering with the weight in the handle , grip shape (specifically in summer).

I play both at times - the Gravity Pro definitely has more plowthrough, more spin and a larger sweetspot
The TFight has more straight power, maybe a bit more directional control, but feels a bit more sluggish IMO

But both are pretty close to be honest, the GPro feels more solid of the two but not too heavy - my racket for the season

If I currently play with the Gravity MP weighted up to around a 330 SW strung, how different would the MP XL feel? I've never played with an extended frame before, but have been very curious to try. Seems like the perfect thing to tinker with since its almost exactly my current specs otherwise.

It will have similarities in terms how it swings with similar SW, but feel different at impact.

Slight adjustment in spacing also required (unless you tend to make contact in the upper hoop, in this case XL frame will possibly help you have cleaner contact).

Interesting, what makes the impact feel different? Understanding you have to adjust your spacing to account for the length, the actual impact feels different?

Because the mass behind the ball — literally, the mass of the hoop — is quite different.

It will feel similar to using stock, non-customized Gravity MP while swinging slightly faster to match the benefit of extra .5 inch.

The weight usually isn’t the issue for me.
Balance is a bit more ideal.

Ok, this makes a lot of sense. So my customized Gravity MP has more heft in the hoop because it is not as long (and, lead).

So with the same SW my standard length Gravity MP probably has a higher twist weight and slightly more stability since I have lead at 10/2.
Same SW but Less weight in the hoop = different impact feel (I can think back to how my Gravity MP felt stock, but it's difficult to put my finger on what exactly feels different. I would say I like the impact feeling a bit better with the added lead.)

This is interesting, thanks for your input @Dragy

Nothing replaces live test though, these are more general thoughts. Sometimes it predicts the outcome, but sometimes it ends up quite counterintuitive :-D

Regarding the MP anyone able to get this thing to come around as fast as say a ezone or blade?
Ive already put weight in the handle, maybe will try more in there. But if it is not in the cards, I'll just have to move on.

Tenniswarehouse had a sneak peek of the new gravity tour 98 2025 on YouTube that got taken down.

fun times at Head. this accords with how Dennis Fabian said they organizing silos going forward:

MP frames are the main draw, Pro frames are more advanced models, and Tour frames will offer different beam widths, string patterns, and head sizes, among other things. this explains Prestige Tour's stiffness relative to other models in the silo as well as the 22 mm non-box beam

New gravity pro user. Coming from the pro staff. Absolutely love it, has relatively the same feel as my old Kfactor Pro Staff 90 but a lot easier to hit and gives me more spin and forgiveness.
Specs (Unstrung):
341 g
30.5 cm
298 SW

Finally had the chance to hit with gravity mp auxetic. Loved it at first hit unlike pro and tour. On version 1 i preferred tour. GMP auxetic is my favourite feeling current head racquet (haven’t tested new boom aux yet but I don’t care to). I love gravitys so much that i feel sad that i cannot switch to them. Their classic prestige-like feel in a more forgiving head size with a thin body is a love letter to all of us old school flat hitters. MP auxetic has more control than previous version which was my main issue. Finally i can enjoy the 16x20 string pattern. Great power and spin potential that requires a little bit work…I wouldn’t suggest it to someone below 4.0 despite that it weights 295gr.

So coming to a conclusion: The single reason that i haven’t switched to that gem of a racquet is the head shape. How it widens up at 3/9. When you are relaxed it’s ok…. but when tired or on fast demanding exchanges you don’t have the easy wrist snap to close the racquet head without thinking of it like with traditional 98 inch head sizes. I get the feel that it demands extra effort and concentration. Head doesn’t come around effortless. Too bad…. i f love gravity’s :(

Curious to hear the thoughts on the XL MPs. Definitely something I could potentially see working out really well for my game.

I have similar feelings during my game... :(
what will you choose in the end?

anyone get a gravity with paint glossier than the others? It not quite glossy glossy but smoother/shinier than the solid matte I've seen on most

Luxilon Alu Power Rough (52/50) was great in the Pro, but the nice sensation / feedback didn't last long, as expected. Did anyone try the Luxilon Adrenaline? 1.30 (like Rublev) or 1.25? Tension? Cheers!
