He's a pro though... This is what Pros do! Except Medvedev maybe.Rublev changes his string jobs like what, every 30 minutes? Must have great sensation!

I would recommend to tailweight it if you are an advanced player!Just ordered a Gravity Tour so very much looking forward to seeing how these things play. Will be my first foray into the Gravity range. Coming from a Speed MP so looking for a bit of a more controlled option. Hopefully it fits the bill
Thanks for the tip. Will give it a whirl and see how it plays first and then maybe take your adviceI would recommend to tailweight it if you are an advanced player!
Gravity pro auxetic vs Graphene 360+.
Any of those who’ve used both - main difference? Thinking of picking up some 360+ used.
Thanks !
A SW of 345-350 is simply ridiculous and explains the struggle while playing with it. The two I am having are almost right on specs and the SW is at 330 / 331 (strung), which is reasonable. Probably lucky. 345+ is not suited for non-pros IMO! 340 is a kind of limit, also for advanced recreational players... I would definitely give the 297.5 SW racquet a try!!Hi,
I would appreciate a little help from all the knowledgeable people here.
I was interested in the Gpro after hearing so much good stuff about it. The demo I tried was unfortunately quite an over specified one. It had 319g static weight unstrung, 336 strung, a balance of 32.2 cm, and a swing weight of 345–350 (depending on the strings being used). Needless to say, it wasn't easy to play with. Some shots were perfect, but I was almost always late on the backhand and the return of serve. Also, some shots would just launch and sail out for no real reason.
I've been searching for a decent sized Gpro, and a retailer has one in stock with the following specs, all unstrung: weight 314.4 g, balance 31.7 cm, swing weight 297.5. Unfortunately, no demo is available for this one. In your opinion, are these specs good, or should I try to find an even lower-weight and swing-weight specimen?
Thanks

Honestly - the amount these companies want to charge for rackets these days you better button up on quality control or start accepting returns.A SW of 345-350 is simply ridiculous and explains the struggle while playing with it. Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I was also thinking that 297.5 SW seems reasonable. I guess it would come to around 332/333 strung which is the same or actually less than what I am using currently. I'm almost ready to buy it, just trying to be rational about it.A SW of 345-350 is simply ridiculous and explains the struggle while playing with it. Absolutely. The quality control is atrocious. This one seems on spec though.Honestly - the amount these companies want to charge for rackets these days you better button up on quality control or start accepting returns.
Edit: and it’s for all equipment these days lol. As I’m currently in the market for a Stringing machine - the lack of support and warranty I feel from reps for 2-4K machines.
Vent over on support for lack of quality.
Off spec heavy one is obviously not good for playing matches. But it could be a good training tool. I never learned how to adjust timing of my swing including serve, until I played with racquets that are too heavy for me for a few months against heavy hitters.Hi,

Thanks for sharing your experience. One thing that I struggle with Gpro is hitting into the net when being pulled wide on forehand side. Mostly blaming myself for technical deficiency. Then I saw Zverev himself had quite a few errors like that too. Makes me wonder if it's actually the tendency of the racquet or 18*20 pattern. Do you notice the same issue?I have played both for quite some time, the Auxetic feels a lot easier to you, but still like the same racket in a way.
They refined the GPro a lot with the Auxetic. A tad less swingweight, bit more dampening but still connected and I felt like it also was a tiny bit more powerful.
Both definitely feel like the same racket family, which depending on the price difference, could mean to rather buy the 360+. But I felt that the Auxetic was just the refined version, a lot easier to play and much better to handle for the normal player. You can still hit heavy balls with control, the dampening doesn’t affect control and touch.
Overall - if you want to try a GPro at a cheap price, the 360+ is fine. But the Auxetic is definitely an upgrade.
I play local tournaments and league games, my German level would be close to NTRP 6.0 and I play aggressive baseline tennis. Gravity Pro is the racket I always come back to.

Yeah, seem pretty good, and they have only one in stock!Great specs.
I'd recommend you buy it. It's a great racket. If you like it you'll probably be able to find another one with similar specs.Yeah, seem pretty good, and they have only one in stock!

How would you say someone from a Tfight 305 weighted uo in the handle would translate? I’m looking for more control.I don't know if either of us is comparable to Mr Chains , but I think I know what you mean
The GPro isn't a racket that works off a flick of the wrist. Meaning that in defense sometimes you need to find another way than just using your forearm/wrist for power.
On the flipside, you can swing out pretty hard in those situations without spraying the shot towards the fence. So often I pass my opponents based on that control from the sides, but if they stay back, I also tend to play the classic Alcaraz moonball at times.
If you re used to something like a Pure Aero, this is one of major differences - GPro needs swingspeed to generate power, but you can therefor do more things with it
How would you say someone from a Tfight 305 weighted uo in the handle would translate? I’m looking for more control.
Yeah I’d probably flex around a string setup of poly main - multi cross to be honest.I would say it is pretty similar when you have time to swing, a lot more control and you can get the ball to dip nicer
The tricky part will be defense, because the TFight will have more own generated power, and you will have to adapt with the Gpro
But at least against the stock Tecni, I think the Gravity actually is easier to move around
Currently, I am playing around with a slightly below spec swingweight - 296-298 unstrung and 1,23 Restring Zero
This setup allows me to still be aggressive, but I can also counterpunch pretty sweet
I string Hawk Power at 20/19kg (~44/42lbs) in my Pros.Recently traded for a Gravity Pro and going to do Hawk Power
Which seems better 48lbs or 50? I'm really at a coin flip moment.
Open to other recommendations as well.
I strung my Gravity Pro with Head Lynx Tour champagne 1.25 at 52lbs. Was just OK for me initially but beautiful after a few hours. Definitely my go to setup now.
And this racket absolutely saved me from my racket search problems. The PA98 was firmly at the top of the list for best rackets that I’ve personally used and in terms of how much it aided my game, but the Gravity sits firmly on top now. Playing some of my best tennis with it.
Dare to go lower I played the exact same setup for quite some time and when I went to 22/21 kgs, it really opened up for me once more
Have fun playing it! Love this racket also and my tennis seems to evolve with it really
Are these swingweight numbers or static weight numbers?Apart from the one that I chose at 308 grams the 5 others were below the 300gr mark. And I mean we'll below... 297 and 298 gr!!!
The problem with underspec GPro, that it's not gonna have enough power.I will when they send it to me!!
Exactly.... you can't expect any power from a 20 mm beam weighting 300gr!! That's the beauty of the Pro...The problem with underspec GPro, that it's not gonna have enough power.
We talked with you about PA98 vs Gpro in another thread some time ago and you mentioned that you were only considering to move to Gpro due to some elbow issues caused by PA98. And now i see that you officially moved! Congratulations! i am still in love with my PA98 but due to some elbow pain i am considering to switch to Gpro (i am former Gtour user and love the Gravity line). Do you miss your PA98 from time to time?
Glad to hear! I think i am gonna buy it and see how it goes. But i was thinking to buy the previous one (2021), because most of the people i follow/read/talk to prefer the old one and because it is much much cheaper nowadays. I demoed the new one and did not gel with it but it could be due to QC (it felt really heavy). You mentioned that you had previous gens and you sold them. Do you feel that the AGpro is really that much better than the previous one?Ahhh yeah, thank you! Demoed it just to be sure and after using it I knew it was going to be extremely difficult for me to try another racket and somehow prefer it.
I was thinking the other day about if I missed it and whether I would return to it if I miraculously had no arm issues, but surprisingly I wouldn't. My game is better in almost every single way with the Gravity, and that's all without any elbow pain. Obviously it's a personal thing, but when I look back I feel like my aggression with the PA98 was sort of a frantic and end the point as soon as possible one, whereas with the Gravity it's a much more calm, measured and patient aggression. One that the control, stability and forgiveness can provide.
I am the same with this line too, have had two previous ones and sold them! But have never felt how I do with this auxetic one now.
Do you think you’re gonna go for it?!

I ended up buying 2021 Gpro. It was such a great bargain, i could not resist itNice! Hmmm yeah, QC can have quite a big impact. Not sure if I just didn’t gel with the racket, but I had a 2024 Speed MP that felt horrible, despite many people saying good things about it. I felt like that may have been down to QC too.
I wouldn’t say much better as I don’t think they are objectively different enough to state as such, but I am preferring it, although I can’t put my finger on why exactly without playing with them side by side. It could simply be because my current game is benefitting from a gravity more this time around. But because of how much I’m enjoying it, I would only ever buy another auxetic one To be honest, I would get the auxetic one just for the paintjob
Mine does feel heavy too to be fair, although that may be partly because I think lynx tour is a slightly heavier string. I do admittedly quite like the heavy weight though, but there’s nothing that I could do with the Aero that I can’t do with this, in terms of moving the racket and wristy shots.

Played with it yesterday against my regular tennis partner. We usually have very tight matches but yesterday i won 6:1 6:1. What a racquet! My racket journey is officially over. This racquet allows you to play a very versatile tennis. Compared to Aero98 i feel that it is faster through the air because of 20mm beam, it slices much better than Aero once again due to the thickness of the beam, it is much easier to serve with and it packs a very big punch! I really struggle to understand why many people call it underpowered. You can hit flat bombs with it but you can also use spin and hit loopy balls. This racquet has zero weaknesses and the biggest advantage is its versatility and feel! The feel is just wow! i like it much better than the demo 2023 version i tried. It’s much more raw, direct and has a very pleasant dwell time. Prestige with a 100in head! I am selling all my other racquets now and will buy another Gpro 2021 while they are still there. And this is with factory strings (Head Sonic Pro)! I cant imagine how much i will like it with some better strings, though, surprisingly, i liked this string. Very controlled and predictable. Regarding specs, my racquet was right on spec with 315g unstrung. I dont know the SW but i feel it is around 330-332 so pretty much on spec too. I took off the replacement grip and put three OGs to lower the static weight and make it a bit more whippy (i often do this). My strung specs are: 331g static with 3OGs and dampener, 32.4cm balance. I think it is ideal weight for this frame that allows you to brush the ball to generate some spin. I can also use my wrist to hit low balls for example.Nice! Yeah you can find the older ones pretty cheap now if you look at the right time. Let us know how you get on

Let us know if your arm can handle the racket. When i was playing with the GPro, i had also these sensational characterics you described but it destroyed my arm completely for a week. Wrist , elbow and shoulder pain begun the day after match. Never ever Gpro for me. I tried the Gravity Tour later, and that was much better but still harsh. I guess the 18x20 needs low tensions otherwise its a boardy feeling.
It actually feels lighter and swings much easier than my PA98 with 325g static (so less than the Gpro) and 328 SW (i guess very similar to the Gpro). I guess the reason behind it is the 20mm beam and much thiner throat compared to PA98. When i grab my PA98 after Gpro it feels clunky like it has 23+mm beam. I am coming from the former Prestige MP (Currently Pro) and mine was 345g static and 340 SW so this Gpro is not the heaviest racket i played with and Prestige cured my tennis elbow that i got from Pure Drive. I actually felt some elbow pain after playing with Gpro but it’s because it’s already ****ed up because of PA98. So it needs some time to heal. I have Tour also but it can no where compare to Gpro. I have never really liked it, too unpredictable.Let us know if your arm can handle the racket. Absolutely agree. When i picked it up the first thing i felt “i am at home”. This is a more powerful Prestige MP that i loved so much but sold it because i could not find my 2HBH with it. With Gpro it is a weapon now.Love it! Exactely my experience with this, coming from the PAVS
But I bet you a lot that within a day, you will have an answer here "But it is 20mm and underpowered bla bla"
Everybody is obsessed with specs, data and objective something, but keep missing the main thing. You should feel at home with your racket and that is a very subjective feeling - plus with modern tech and different measurements, 20mm doesn't mean a thing

18x20 you need to go 45lb max with a medium soft poly... no point using à "feel" racket and string it with 4g at 55 pondsLet us know if your arm can handle the racket.
