HEAD: Bought 2x same rackets, one came TK82 the other TK82S = mid-production change?

I bought a Graphene Extreme MP (original black and yellow version from a few seasons ago). I grew to love the squarer, blockier TK82S grip shape.

I then separately bought another one as a backup. It was very lightly used and I could see no evidence of grip modifications, however it feels like the usual rectangular HEAD shape which I dislike. I haven't removed the original grip to confirm but I can feel it easily.

The first one has buttcap code 1114440
The second one has buttcap code 103419
I don't know the significance of these codes but hope they assist in any explanation

Is it possible that HEAD for whatever reason changed the fitment of grip pallets during the production run? I much prefer the squarer shape of the latter numbered one. I don't like the shape of the lower numbered one.

I know I can just change the pallets myself but that is new-territory for me and one I didn't want to go through. Thanks for any information.

(Sorry if I got my TK codes mixed up but you know what I mean. I prefer the squarer one)

Someone possible changed pallets to the more rectangle shape on the used one?
Possibly. I bought it used from TW themselves. I couldn't see any signs the original Hydrosorb grip was tampered with. If there *was* a pallet change it was done very well and seamlessly

I bought two graph extreme lites that were both TK82S, had to change them to TK82, someone may have done that and it should be pretty easy to tell if you take the grip off.....

Don't be scared to change the pallets! It's easy as long as you accept you WILL wreck the other pallets getting them off, but since you hate them that's not a problem, yes? Tennis only in WA sell TK82 pallets cheap so they might be able to get TK82S for you...... Otherwise there's a place in Chatswood that have stocked TK82S when I have been there but they are pricey!
