Yes, it will be worldwide. Will there be an Extreme Pro 2024 in EU???
Oh okay so the Pro will be the 305 gr version.Yes, it will be worldwide.
However, the former Tour will now be the Pro (TGK348.3)
I guess for lines where there are only two molds/different releases in a line - they just want to go with MP and Pro, whereas more diversified lines like the Gravity (in EU/AUS) and Prestige get the TourOh okay so the Pro will be the 305 gr version.
I asked because there was a 360+ Pro Version with 315 gr. only available in the EU. The Pro Version was canceled with the Release of the Extreme Auxetic Series.
The 360+ Pro was a beast but to stiff for me. So i hoped that there’ll be an Auxetic 2.0 Version with 315 gr.
Say itnevermind
Perhaps other can speak to this as I haven't tried, but maybe the boom?Does Head has a solid 98 spin oriented frame? Wilson has the shift and blade 98s, Babolat has the aero 98, Yonex has the Vcore 98. All of the above are powerful and spin friendly, extreme tour feels like a noodle even at 330 sw.
I'd forgotten the MP is 100Say it
Eye of the beholder - with some lead in the hoop, my opinion is that the Extreme Tour more than holds its own as a powerful spin friendly option. I wouldn't list the Blade 98 as a powerful spin friendly option in the list you included.Does Head has a solid 98 spin oriented frame? Well, regardless of what you might think, the Blade is not positioned as a power/spin racquet (see any of Wilson's marketing materials, not to mention more tangible things like beam width etc.). Having played with Blades, I love their comfort, stability, and precision, but if I wanted more power and spin, there are plenty of other better options to choose from (the Strike 98, Babolat's "control" silo, has more power and spin than the Blade imo)Blade 98s is super spin friendly and powerful due to the open string pattern

Blade Pro 16x19 affords decent spin because it has a more open pattern than the regular Blade but I wouldn't call even that a spin racquet. You can generate good spin with technique but I wouldn't consider the 98 Blade 16x19 as a spin racquet.Blade 98s is super spin friendly and powerful due to the open string pattern
When was the last time those were marketed and sold at a retail level? Definitely not part of the v9 release, at least in the US. Funny.Think he's talking about the 18x16 spin effect one.

Except loling, as a head representative, Extreme Tour is a frame that needs massive customization to even reach something as the aforementioned racquets. Seems you know the truth as well. Lol.
Yet, the pro players and college players don’t mind playing with it with subtle tweaks.Except loling, as a head representative, Extreme Tour is a frame that needs massive customization to even reach something as the aforementioned racquets. Seems you know the truth as well. Lol.
My ET Aux 1.0 came at 300g with 31.3cm balance, even at my low level not really enjoyable.I feel huge potential with the Extreme Tour but in stock form the overall feel is too anemic/empty. At the same time customizing this frame is very easy, some at the top, maybe 10 and 2 if you dont need that much, rest potentially in the handle / leather grip and ready to go.
If you bump up the SW too much you might kill the spin potential for recreational players. and those advanced will have a hard time playing with it in stock form.
So I am intrigued if Head decide to increase the sw and/or static weight with the update to make the gap a bit smaller. That would be my preference but I can also see why it could be preferred by Head to keep it unchanged so from catalog's point of view you have better variety.
On the contrary, I am not extra good thas why I need a racquet with around 330 sw to give me power. Thats what Pa98 does and many others. Extreme Tour doesnt, cant really understand how it fits to the category of power spin racquets. It is just a spin oriented anemic racquet with stability issues arouns 3-9.Yet, the pro players and college players don’t mind playing with it with subtle tweaks.
I added a minor (4g) lead adjustment and it played like a dream. You must be EXTRA good!
Also, I am not a Head rep.
You fixed iteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
I am not too familiar with the “power rackets”, however, to make a 317SW to 330SW (also my sweet spot), it only takes 4.5g of lead and not a “massive customization”On the contrary, I am not extra good thas why I need a racquet with around 330 sw to give me power. They kind of did just that with the 2024 Speed MP. Funny thing is that the ET probably needs a slight increase in SW more than the Speed MP. Maybe they will follow suit with the new EP? That said it's probably not a deal breaker as fans of this racquet know how where to add weight. My brother had an ET and as said above to me it felt anemic stock. If I buy the new one it would be with the expectation that I will be adding lead.My ET Aux 1.0 came at 300g with 31.3cm balance, even at my low level not really enjoyable.
Actually hoping for the extreme pro 2.0 to keep the 305g but to be a bit more polarized and slightly increase the SW.
Your point is valid as many players of different levels don’t want to spend the time/money customizing their racquets. That having been said, I have come around to the conclusion that customizing is the only solution to matching racquets to users. And by offering what amounts to a platform racquet in the ET, HEAD is actually making it possible for users to match their racquet to their game/ability/physical limits. I wish this would become a standard silo for all major racquet makers.I am excited to try the Extreme Pro 2.0 too... but out of the 3 spin-friendly 98s (Vcore 98, Aero 98, Extreme Tour), the current ET is clearly the least stable in stock form. I think Head does itself a de-service to make a racket that requires customization to play as well/stable as the other two
My thoughts exaxtly, however even if you customize it is not the same as the other options. It still lacks stability and pop.I am excited to try the Extreme Pro 2.0 too... but out of the 3 spin-friendly 98s (Vcore 98, Aero 98, Extreme Tour), the current ET is clearly the least stable in stock form. 325SW with the same balance would be enough for me to consider jumping on. But if it stays at 320 and below + mild Aux 2.0 update, pretty boring story for me.The Extreme Tour prioritizes manoeuvrability and spin over stability and high pop, so if the latter is what you want look elsewhere.
A slight bump in swingweight, however, could be achieved without damaging the balance.

With zero inside knowledge, my guess it'll be similar to the Speed MP update - the Extreme Pro will have auxetic 2.0, same mold, more weight in the hoop for stability and a higher SW, and still 305g static unstrung. Here's hoping the new Extreme Pro (formerly tour) has a bump up in static weight. Also, the one I saw a pic of appeared to be the MP (see MP on the throat) in shades of green/yellow similarto the Boom MP Mint. Hoping they add black to the Extreme Pro similar to the Boom Pro.
Can anyone comment on weight yet?
I play at fairly high level and have added 4g at 3 and 9 to the Extreme Pro 2.0 and countered that with 5g of silicone at the tip and the racket plays great even with those stock poly strings.I am excited to try the Extreme Pro 2.0 too... but out of the 3 spin-friendly 98s (Vcore 98, Aero 98, Extreme Tour), the current ET is clearly the least stable in stock form. Compared to customized prestige MP-L ?I play at fairly high level and have added 4g at 3 and 9 to the Extreme Pro 2.0 and countered that with 5g of silicone at the tip and the racket plays great even with those stock poly strings.
Head did a great job with the Auxetic 2.0, including the PJ.
Very different rackets.Compared to customized prestige MP-L ?
Extreme more springy with higher launch ?Very different rackets.
Speed and boom Auxetic 2.0 felt like noodles compared to 360+ and Auxetic 1.0.....when will it stop this noodleification of rackets??? Can't they cancel harshness through strings or other tech?2 much hoop flex in the Tour 4 me, I liked the magic boardiness of the 360+ version.
Boardiness needs a comeback!
Neither Speed or Boom feel anything like noodles.Speed and boom Auxetic 2.0 felt like noodles compared to 360+ and Auxetic 1.0.....when will it stop this noodleification of rackets??? Can't they cancel harshness through strings or other tech?
It's my feel my opinion that anything under 65RA feels like noodles..PA98, Tempo 298 PD98 ,EZ98 are my main rackets in my bag that gel with softer poly or hybrids with...some people feel 58RA is not a noodle.Neither Speed or Boom feel anything like noodles.
Both feel more numb and less vibrations than the 1.0, but the flex changes and softness changes are minimal.
Head is doing the right thing with the 2.0 for the broad market needs. I prefer more feedback through the handle
