Head Extreme MP 2.0 -vs- Head Extreme Pro

Hi Everyone - I have a Head Extreme MP 2.0 that I like quite a bit, but the swing weight is heavier than the Head Extreme Pro 2.0.

Has anyone out there hit both sticks? If yes, I would appreciate your impressions of how the two compare to each other.

Yes, I have and use both versions. The Pro hits a much heavier more penetrating ground stroke and more powerful volleys. The MP feels whipper and better for kick serves and spinny looping ground strokes and angles. Both are very comfortable and have a plush feel but with good feedback. I have since modified my MP to specs closer to the Pro as I have come to appreciate the weight and plow. I string with a gut/poly hybrid, great sticks.

Thank you for that insight. Which one do you prefer for volleying? Also, prior to modifying your MP, which one felt more powerful?? Again, thanks.

The pro feels more powerful in general, and i also prefer it for volleys. Hence the modifications. The only time I preferred the MP was when I felt tired very late in a match and switched to the lighter stick to get my timing and swing speed back on track (only did this once but it was noticeable). If you put a soft poly in the Pro to control the power it hits just awesome.

Thanks again. Anyone else have some input?

Notice I bolded Pro, its not easy to play with. Heavy and if youre a little guy maybe look for another stick.

I haven't played with both, but the XPro 2.0 is my current racquet. I think its a great stick.

I'm not a big guy and I haven't had a lot of trouble with it - 6'1, 160ish. Skinny, you might say.

Thanks for the continued input. Has anyone else out there hit both the Pro and the MP? - looking for additional feedback.

Thanks.
