Hello everyone! I love Head racquets and I want to invest in 2 racquets that suit me best. I can't demo them locally so I have to rely on you and the internet. Thanks for the help in advance.

A bit of context. I would say I'm around 3.5-4.0 USTA or NRTP. I'm starting to play some local tournaments, I train 3+ days a week and I wanna get better every day. I'm pretty tall(187cm). I'm not the most delicate guy, I like to hit hard and I want to finish points fast. I like to play short points. I have a big first flat serve but I struggle a bit with the second kick serve, I have a very fast and deep forehand (My best shot. I'm not lacking any power. Rather something helps me keep the ball in). My 2HBH is more or less. I would say It needs work on my footwork more than the racquet itself. It wouldn't be bad to get something that helps me hit better backhands and slices. I would say I'm an aggressive baseliner who wants to close points fast, not a fan of long rallies, I lose when I do that.

What would you guys recommend? Head Extreme Tour 2022 or Speed MP 2024(they are both at a discount in TW for 200 USD)

Looks like this is a couple weeks old but i can comment if you're still looking.

I just finished up demo'ing the new Extreme pro, formerly tour and the Speed MP 2024. I actually liked them both a lot.

What i noticed is that the Speed definitely has more power and i honestly think a little more control also. What i found interesting about the extreme is how soft it felt. both rackets are rated pretty soft and flexible but for whatever the reason the extreme felt much softer to me. It does have decent power and lot of spin as intended.

Overall, it was close...but i'd recommend the Speed...I think you're going to have better groundstrokes with it than the extreme.

Is the Extreme Pro soft in a good or bad way ? Lets assume softness is good for arm comfort, but if the racket flexes like a noodle the incoming Energy of the ball will be reduced and outgoing balls will slow down. For higher level of players this can be an issue.
Myself i play the Aux 1.0 Xtreme Tour and the softness of the racket is what saves my arm cause i am arm sensitive. But since i rip the ball, a stiff string is necessary otherwise all the control, which is the strongest point of the racket, is gone. Thin soft strings with tramboline effect are not a good match with this racket for my playing style.

I think what you're describing is accurate for the Extreme Pro. It feels GREAT!! I loved the way it swung and I loved how soft the racket felt on impact....but I wasn't super happy with the resulting shots. Less control, less power, lots of spin.

I specifically had a hard time serving with it, just felt like i had no pop.

Do think it's probably possible to make the racket work with a different string setup but i ultimately felt like the Speed was better overall.
