Head Graphene 360+ Prestige MP is a winner

Just picked up a couple of the Graphene 360+ Prestige Midplus (2020 discontinued version) last week and got to take them out for an initial test drive over the weekend. My initial impression was—Wow!

For what it’s worth, I have been a longtime user of the Prince CTS Synergy DB 24 MP (probably 10+ years) and then the Prince Graphite 100 over the past year so, so I prefer heavier, control-oriented frames. The Prestige falls into that category and it didn’t take long at all for me to settle in with it.

I would echo Chris’ comments in the TW video review. It is a very stable, comfortable frame but with plenty of juice provided you have a full swing. Very spin friendly, and not just “for an 18x20 frame.”

Longtime fan of Head Intellitour, and I strung them with 17g version at 51 lbs. That felt just about right to me. And yes, the TK82S pallet is a big improvement (for me) over the more rectangular Head grip shape, especially on the one-handed backhand.

For those of you still using this frame, just curious as to what your thoughts are on this frame. Perhaps our resident Head expert @dr325i as well?

I thought it was a great player’s racquet. Did everything right and was very comfortable. Only thing could be you couldn’t do much customization without getting really heavy, so probably no leather grip or only a minor amount of lead.

Same here - I picked up a couple, going to string with gut/poly in one of them and see if the racket takes off. The demo I had was strung with RPM Blast rough 16 at 55 lbs and didn't do any justice to the racket. Will keep you posted. Although I am not a fan of the TK82S and prefer the TK82, it's not a big deal.

I'd like to know what you think of it compared to the CX200 Tour I just got from you.

I liked the control of the PMP but didn't think it hit a heavy ball or with a lot of spin. It hit some of the best BH slices of any racquet I've tried. It did not work great for my OHBH otherwise though. A frame like the VC95 is great for my BH as the launch angle helps it easily clear the net and the spin brings it back down. The PMP didn't feel as natural from that side and would normally go in to the net or fly long. It also felt a bit underpowered to me. I thought about adding lead to it but ultimately decided it wouldn't see any match time over my Ultra Tours.

For what its worth I think the Graphene 360+ PMP is a fantastic racquest. I put 1 gram of lead at 3pm, 9pm and 12 and this gave the racquet a boost in power and stability. In terms of strings because of elbow issues I have strung it with Head Lynx at between 44-46 pounds and enjoyed it for about 10 hours and then found a loss of power and launch angle. I had not tried tried Lynx Tour because it is much stiffer than Lynx but threw a set in at 45 pounds and thought wow it gave me a good power, launch angle and spin boost. The playability of Tour is much longer than standard Lynx as reported by the TW String Comparison Tool.

The weight/balance was a little off for my taste -- maybe a tad heavier and a little more headlight would do the trick. Also, I didn't care for the feel. It felt a little too brittle (?) when I was expecting a more comfortable ride.

My son uses the 2019 version and is a big fan of that one. Not sure why, but it just didn't click for me.

Which racquet are you referring to? The Dunlop CX 200 Tour, the VC95, or the G360+ PMP? He mentions all of them in the post. Cheers

I had to add about 4g of lead to the hoop to bring the static and SW up a bit on the CX 200 Tour. I'm surprised you didn't find the feel comfortable. It has one of the plushest feels of any frame I've played with. It does play much differently than the PMP however as the balance isn't nearly as HL.

A little off topic but only slightly.. from hence on.. is Graphene being taken out of the title of the Head Fleet in 2022. Kinda like how XI, SI, AI were taken out by Yonex?

I'm wondering why it took so long for Head to launch a Prestige with head size 98. I think it brought together the best of both worlds: Classic and Modern

Today I was able to get an answer about this racquet , even with an inadequate string (Wilson Poly Pro 1.25).

It's incredible, its handling is better than the previous Prestiges 95, I think it's because of the thinner beam. Yes, it is more powerful than previous versions.

I can't say much about the feel, due to the string, but I found it similar to my Youtek Prestige MP. I should tie it next week with the Red Devil 1.24 (20 kilos of tension).

I think this will improve a lot.

And they are saying that Auxetic 2.0 Pro is the best version of the last three generations
