The PRO gets all the love.
The MP is a sleeper, and especially for those who may not realize they can step "down" to a 300 gram stick, and still have excellent stability and control. See my notes for more.

Specs from Head:
Head size: 100 sq inches
Length: 27 inches
Beam Width: 23 mm
Stiffness: 64
Unstrung: 300 grams / 10.6 oz
Strung: 318 grams / 11.2 oz
Balance: 4 Pts Head Light
Swing Weight: 329
Swing Speed: FAST/LONG
Grip Type: HEAD HYDROSORB PRO
Power Level: Low
String Pattern: 16/19

My all black version (made in 2021):
Strung Specs for me:
1.25 Element 53/50 LBS
Weight: 315 grams / 11.11 oz
Balance: 33 1/2 cm
Added an Overgrip:
Weight: 320 grams / 11.29 oz
Balance: 33 1/4 cm
The balance needed a smidge of tweaking, I'm picky. But I don't "do" lead tape.
So I stuck three cotton balls behind the trap door, and now it's 33 cm even

My second all black version (made in 2021):
Strung Specs for me:
1.25 17G Head Lynx Tour 52 LBS
Weight: 314 grams / 11.08 oz
Balance: 33 1/4 cm
Added an Overgrip:
Weight: 319 grams / 11.25 oz
Balance: 33 cm

My white/black version (made in 2020):
Strung Specs for me:
Diadem Elite XT 17 (1.20) 52LBS
Weight: 315 grams / 11.11 oz
Balance: TBD
Added an Overgrip:
Weight: 317 grams / 11.18 oz
Balance: 32 9/10 cm / 4.25 pts head-light

This diadem string is very nice in the MP.
CRAZY spin ability, great playability, no issues with tension after a few weeks (90 mins, 5x a week)!
I do not feel that the MP is string sensitive.
I haven't hit with the element on the MP yet, just strung her up.

My primary thought is this:
This racquet gets my tennis racquet "hat trick" award:
1. comfort - I rate it a 9.5
2. control - I rate it a 10
3. stability - for this being a 300 gram stick, I rate it a 10

For a 300 gram racquet, this has AMAZING stability and incredible comfort and control.
Somehow, this 300 gram racquet has a 329 swing weight, which is right there with the Speed Pro.
However, this one is so much easier to swing, thanks to it's much lower static weight.
It's easy on my wrist and shoulder b/c of this.
The access to spin with this stick is EXCELLENT.

But it's the stability, that is the biggest surprise. I'm a 4.0 hitting vs. a 5.0 female who hits at full blast all the time, think Camila Giorgi.
No issues swinging out, all day, with this 300 gram racquet.
I have been playing with it for a month or so.
Full disclosure, I had also been serious about the new VCore v6, during this time, but have steered away from them (95/98/100). I will probably list a 98 soon.
The 100 is too powerful for me, and the 98 doesn't have enough pop and isn't as comfy as the Speed MP.

The Speed MP, as I stated has excellent control. Therefore it doesn't have too much power. It has that little bit of pop, but with a modern swing - I feel that you can swing out and have 100% perfect control.
For flat hitters, I think this is still worth a demo, for certain.

Previously, I had been playing with the Clash 98 in the autumn. I am very much enjoying a more consistent string bed, with the MP, and the comfort of the MP is nothing to complain about. It feels VERY plush in fact.

I am now hitting my best groundstrokes of my life, with the Speed MP.
The Pro is great too, just that I realized my wrist appreciates the lighter MP.
I was intrigued by the 18x20 of the Pro, but in the end, found the lighter weight and MUCH better access to spin, from the 16x19, more enjoyable.

So, if you're hitting with a 11.5 oz stick (strung) and you either have wrist/elbow/shoulder or stamina issues... you may be able to move down to this, 11.29 oz strung, and still have the same control and plow... while having increased comfort? Just a thought.

I like the new pj. Not sure which one I prefer just yet though.

Thanks for reading, please share your own notes on the MP and pics too.

Enjoy some real world pics of the new pj:

@MikhailT @longtimelurker I am sorry, I did search for a thread dedicated to only the MP.... and only found classifieds. if you want to have a mod delete the thread, I won't lose any sleep. obviously my searching ability needs some practice.

@Ryebread , awesome thread! I received mine (all black 360+ Speed MP) but swapped the synthetic for a leather grip. It’s now 326 g strung with a 331 swingweight! Can’t wait for the f####n covid restrictions to be lifted here in Montreal so that I can finally use it and finally play some tennis!

what is the total weight with the leather added?
not a bad call. I prefer more HL, so I may give it a shot! Thx

so, as you now know, I'm playing with the speed MP 360+ as my primary stick.
I did play with the clash 98 today, 51 lbs cyclone 17g.
little more pop with the clash 98, thicker beam.
less control,
more erratic ground strokes, which is frustrating.
but I was hitting some very impressive rallies with my 5.0 counterpart, I'm a 4.0 and she tolerates me b/c I am available.

my speeds are strung 53/50 in one, hybrid, and 52 lbs in the other.
I guess, I'll try 50 lbs. to get a little more pop and depth from it.
seems to have a lower launch angle when compared with my clash 98. and less power.
how low have you gone at a 4.0 rating or higher? full bed of poly.

hit them both all week, the one with 53/50 and the one with 52.

they are a completely different feel.
I can't quantify it all just yet. But it's worth a test ride.....

Yes. Speed line is so good. The only problem is that I cannot decide between Pro and MP. The groundstroke goes to Pro, while second serve and defence goes to MP
I’ve heard the power is good. How does it swing?? Is it easy to get around? I’m playing with the prince tt 310. Good racquet but u e about worn them out. I tried the new yonex vcore 98 and wilson blade pro 16/19. Didn’t like the yonex, blade too heavy. Interested in the morning black.

Hi. I have tried the TT 100P last gen with white logo. I could compare it to Speed pro 360(black main with little white around handle). They played similarly, both are good all-rounder. The 100P has slightly higer launch angle and soft. Speed pro is firm when making contact, and more lean towards linear trajectory. Spin potential, power, and SW are similar. The new speed is a little bit slower through the air(I am using MP recently). I love the plusher feeling on 360+, but the playability doesn't distinct them that much.
You should demo both gens to find out what suits you most.

How is the best approach to make the Speed MP 360+ heavier without changing the balance much

Maybe put a Leather grip + Lead 3+9 and maybe 12 too ?
I would like to make it 330-340G, but that seems hard maybe

I am more interested in handle mass. Does anyone use a leather grip or weight up the handle? I think I might like a little more HL balance.

I just received a demo of this frame but haven’t had a chance to try it yet. I do notice it has a lot of weight in the head; seems very Blade-like in terms of balance and swing.

you may have one that is over spec. Should be a LOT easier to swing than a blade.

Have the new Black Speed MP being delivered tomorrow.

Wanted a little more power and higher launch angle than I got from by Blades (18x20) and more comfort than my Pure Strikes. After demoing several rackets, ended up with the Speed MP and loved it.

What string set ups do y'all recommend? I had it strung with Luxilon Element @ 51 lbs, but that was a fairly random choice. Interested to hear what y'all use.

I do Firewire 17 @ 48 with Ghostwire 19 @ 46. Plays nicely.

I sold my Blades a while ago so I'm going by memory in terms of that precise comparison. I'm measuring 321g strung with a thin OG and 4 pts HL. Compared to the Radical Pro and the Gravity Tour, the Speed MP just has a lot more of that feeling of "something hanging off the tip of the racquet" when I hold it despite having a lower static weight.

I get it. that is why I put very light weight strings in my racquets, to make them more HL.
also I put 3 grams under the handle/door..... fixes it for me quite well.

on the speed mp, I don't think it's string sensitive.
I like it with 18G cyclone

Are the Speed 360+ mp and the Speed 360 mp very different in term of power and stability?

I tried the speed mp a few months ago, it was a decent racquet. More weight in the throat than head, made it swing a little off personally but with weight at 3/9 it would feel more smooth. It was a good racquet though, and very beautiful.

Thanks SinneGOAT!
Are you using the Speed 3060 + mp now?
I used to use for a little time the Speed touch mp with some weight at 3-9 and i thought it was a decent racquet...i kind of regret i sold them now!

No, I use a blade v7 but the speed mp along with something like the prestige pro or mp would be my second racquets of choice. The pro had a similar feel to the speed but heavier with a little more weight distribution throughout but still I felt most weight in the throat/headlight.

Nice!
I have two blade 2015 sitting here i would like to test soon to see how they play. However i 'm assuming you have the 18x20.
The prestige MP and PRO are great racquets, but too demanding for me. I played a few years back with the microgel prestige mp and i loved it but now i can't handle it.....too much work with it. :)

Speed Demos just came in and damn its good.
I am almost at disbelief how comfortable and solid it feels for 300gr.

I am not sure if it's the string (some unknown black poly I think) but this thing feels rubbery soft. Speed pro 18x20 also felt good but for my game MP rendered it obsolete.

Only knock would be that it's a smidge too thick (wish it was 22 beam) but not a deal breakerand maybe occasionally unstable but only if I miss hit terribly towards the hoop

Too many good sticks these days but for me mp might be what I was looking for all along.

I've been hitting really well with my MP lately. It has caused me to put my Extreme away in the bag. I hit much more consistently with the Speed because of the increased control. It really has fantastic control. Left, right, short, deep. It's very responsive to whatever you want to do. I have complete confidence to hit DTL, which is a real game changer in rallies. The spin and power is good enough to supplement the control. And it's comfortable! Overall the one word I would use for this racquet is "balanced." It is very balanced and does everything well. I think it's a great option for a wide range of players.

I find that the sweet spot is a little lower on the Speed than other modern racquets, so I do have to adjust a little bit. If I hit higher on the stringbed it misses the sweet spot a bit.

Sweet spot is for sure low in the Speed. .I like the Tecnifibre RS 300 more... very similar rackets... could be twins..

I was using my Speed MP the other day.
coming off of the Extreme MP, I was hitting into the net often. The launch angle is so different on these two.

then I was playing with the speed pro, and I was hitting long, often.

I've been playing the G360+ Speed MP, G360+ Gravity Tour, and G360+ Radical Pro this week. They are all great frames in their own ways. Although they are different specs, I find my shots and play very similar between the Speed MP and Radical Pro. Since I already own the Radical I wouldn't bother switching. If I had to point out a difference, I would say the Speed hits a very slightly heavier ball and feels a bit more clunky. The Gravity, on the other hand, is completely different realm in terms of precision, forgiveness, and consistency but I do feel like I am giving up some heaviness of shot. These are all great frames in their own ways.

@Ryebread I agree the Radical Pro and Speed MP both have lower launch angles than some other 16x19 frames I've used recently. Both are very topspin friendly though so I can easily add some shape if necessary.

Aim higher over the net with the Speed. It will take you a few hitting sessions to get used to it, coming from the Extreme. The Speed is a much more closed pattern.

Interesting, I'll have to demo it one day. I wouldn't mind a higher sweet spot on the Speed, although the lower sweet spot forces me to get my feet up to the ball, which I kind of like. It feels like it's in my pocket, so to speak.

nice

if you haven’t already - must try the gravity tour with a full bed of poly at 48-49 lbs. sounds low. But it truly wakes up this control stick.

Actually, I have had an ongoing gripe with the TW site in Alpharetta. They have sent me a bunch of demos this year that were strung at 35 with poly, including both the Speed MP and Gravity Tour. I've restrung several of them. The Speed was not good at that tension and I restrung it, but the Gravity Tour has been perfect.

That’s horrible!
I guess they were neglected? Dead?

Speed MP 52
Extreme MP 54/53
GT 49
Blade trying 50 next. Should be like the GT, and better low. Working my way down.

No, in fact two of the frames -- the Gravity Tour and a Pure Drive Plus I tested earlier -- arrived still in the shrink wrap on the grip and strung at 35. Never used as far as I could tell. On the other hand the Dunlop FX 500 Tour that came with the Gravity had notched strings and still held about 46 lbs of tension, so I think that one originally was 50 to 52. I think there is one stringer, or maybe it's one machine, at the site that is messed up.

The range on the MP frame is 48-57. When I restrung mine, I did 50 lbs main, 48 lbs crosses with Solinco Tour Bite 16. Played well with that setup.

Interesting my speed pro has been hitting the bottom of the net. The launch angle is ridiculously low even for an 18x20.
