Still in love with my 2021 Gpro! I am currently experimenting with different strings. Really enjoyed Head Sonic Pro 24kg and now i have finally tried natural gut (Babolat VS Touch). I decided to take it step by step and not try it in the mains first, because i value control the most. So natural gut in the crosses 24kg and Head Hawk Power 23kg in the mains. Played one match so far and liked it but needed some time to adjust to the new feel and response. The only downside is that it increased the static weight of my racket up to 2g and funny thing that i always feel this 2g difference in my Gpro where i love it when it is 330g (no more, no less) but 332g already feels a bit slower and more cumbersome.

My next step would be to try natural gut in the mains and head hawk power in the crosses, so a reverse set up. And then i have lots of strings on my list that i would like to try in this Gpro: Head Hawk Touch, Kirschbaum Evolution, Kirschbaum Max Power, Tier One FireWire/GhostWire in a hybrid, Volkl Cyclone, Solinco Confidential, Tourna Big hitter silver, CyberFlash etc. Mostly round strings as i value control in my game and shaped strings could be quite erratic for me.

But i also wonder if you guys tried a good natural gut/poly set up. I have seen NG/4G, NG/Element. Anything else you could recommend in this fantastic frame?

Got around to recording some hitting with my GPro23 (strung with K-Pro @ 50). Had a good match too, too bad phone cut out by third hour and lost footage.

Sold my 2021 Pros way back in February, using since 20y old TFights 320…

Last week I finally ordered two GPro`s 2023 without demo. TW Europe unfortunately wasn’t cooperative regarding the “matching service” and it didn’t respond to the emails after order has been made. Bit disappointed with TWE service. Results is that I got two frames with polar opposites specs, and now need to bother to match them somehow. Anyway…

Racquets is awesome, no dissepiments there. Bit more stable and somehow nicer feel, with all attributes of previous model. Paintjob is great and one of the reasons I wanted 2023 model to replace old ones…

String the heavier one first with Lynx Tour 1.25, feels great from the first hit of the ball. Nothings to say that already wasn’t said in the thread… Just great racquet.

I really don't understand why European wholesalers do not want to help a customer the least bit... It seems that they see their online business as just a basic service of sending out things to their customer base, without any further service attached.
Would be really easy to simply offer this as a supplemental service, but I guess we leave that to the few pro shops around.

Don’t know either…

I asked them via email about matching service few months ago, and they replied that is possible and give me procedure to follow after order. Did that when I made the order, but it was no reply for couple of days… when I received email from TWE, racquets already arrived and they said “racquet matching service not available right now, sorry for the inconvenience” …

If they just reply in time, I could waited, it was no rush for me…. But now I have the hassle of matching one over spec and one under spec racquet…

This is for us gravity pros lover. I currently own 10 gravities. I have been collecting them for the past 5 years. I am currently trying to switch away from the gravity because of the weight but can’t seem to find anything else that can match it. So I am going back to it but I am trying to reduce the weight on it. My previous weight for the gravity was averaging 349 grams with overgrip, rubber band guard on the handle and head dampener. I tried to match all of my gravity to the same weight so some of them I do put tungsten putty for matching. I use a kitchen scale to measure the weight so I don’t know anything about SW.

I recently measure them all with barebones (strings and overgrip). Here is the results.

Head prime tour Overgrip, no rubber ring, no dampener

Head gravity gen 1 336 grams grip 2 (head lynx tour/head velocity)

Head gravity gen 1 343 grams grip 2 (head lynx tour/head velocity)

Head gravity gen 1 344 grams grip 2 (head lynx tour/head velocity)

Head gravity gen 1 341 grams grip 3 (head lynx tour/head velocity)

Head gravity gen 1 339 grams grip 2 (head lynx tour/head velocity)

Head gravity gen 1 336 grams grip 3 ( full bed of head lynx tour)

Head gravity gen 2 336 grams grip 3 (full bed of head lynx tour)

Head gravity gen 2 338 grams grip 3 (full bed of head lynx tour)

Head gravity gen 2 339 grams grip 2 (full bed of head lynx tour

Head gravity gen 3 342 grams grip 2 (full bed of head lynx tour)

As you can see there is only 3 rackets that are on specs (336 grams). I know head lynx tour is heavy and can add a few grams. Tennis warehouse spec is advertising them as 331 grams strung.

I am trying to reduce the weights on my gravity by removing the weighted butt cap TK219HR to TK219S (no weight trap door). That should remove at least 5-7 grams on my gravity. Let me know if you guys try this yet and see if how much it affect the balance point. Let me know!

IMO Gravity Pro needs to be over 345g.

Without it the magic is just not there and it’s just another decent frame.

Will not repeat myself here since we all know how great and special this frame is. Just another string recommendation:
Solinco Hyper G Soft 1,20 at 24/23kg.

Really didn’t like it in GPro. Yes it’s big spin and comfort, but precision and touch goes out the window.

I quite liked hyper-G soft, but I much preferred confidential. I do use thin gauge, gets it to right around 345gr and just a tad sub 330 swingweight.

I've done that I actually prefer the head-heavy balance. I also cut down the headguard and got my GPros down to 327-329g.

With news of the 98 coming out next year I decided to take out my ‘23 Pro that I’ve barely hit with. One of the pros at my club gave me a box of old Prince DNA Helix (1.31) string and decided to just string it with that. Strung weight with an Oehms leather grip and OG is at 11.5oz!!! Super super under spec. More like a Tour spec. Was hitting lights out tho!

Asked this in a different thread but might as well ask here as well: does the current GP come with the unweighted buttcap or the weighted one? I know I can just look myself but when I bought my gravity pro (off fleabay) I immediately changed the pallet for a bigger size and don’t remember what the original cap had (it’s long gone now lol).

The new and old both come with weighted buttcap ~ 7g.

I finally left the Tecnifibre tfight club after many years using a 95 DC 98 xtc, RS, and ISO.

Joined the gravity pro 2023.
Got two on clearance from TW. Both came in a tad under 313 grams.

Have one strung up with max power rough. Any string suggestions? I like what max power rough is giving me but want to explore more.

I also thought about adding a leather grip but can’t seem to find one that is “lighter” if that makes sense.

There are ultra thin and light kimony leather grips. If head still has the weighted buttcap, you could take the weight off there and add normal leather with only a small increase.

I’m not entirely looking to go down from a L3 to 2. Hence why Kimony leather isn’t an option. Plus here in the US it’s only the .8 mm I can buy.

Head Lynx Tour 1.20mm (opens up a stringbed somewhat).
I use it on my GPro, and you can really lower the tension. String adds some power to GPro, produces nices spin, and has a really good duration.

I’m using thinner gauge strings to keep the swingweight manageable, but liking confidential, Hyper-G (also soft, or hybrid with Round), Cyclone, and recently adrenaline.

Yeah I have kirschbaum max power rough 1.25 in it and it spins it well. I enjoy the dip and depth on my ground strokes. I’m not really a net player. Serve and win from the baseline and come in when it’s obvious.

One thing I miss that I had with the tfight was defense shots- I could block back /counter more “freely” due to the thicker beam.
However when I’m attacking I’m hitting all my spots and not thinking twice about the aggressive strokes putting in on those shots.

I also capitalized on the $150 sale price of these. Two from TW and one from ****. What a steal. I've really liked Lynx Tour, Grapplesnake M8, and Tourna Silver 7 Tour strung in the mid 40s. They give a lot of feel to this somewhat muted Auxetic frame.

I demoed the Ezone 98 Tour, RF01 Pro, Pure Strike 18x20, Radical Pro, Head Speed Pro, Gravity Tour 98, Head Extreme Tour, and the Gravity Pro just won out with its combo of stability, plow, feel, control, forgiveness. I still hit with other rackets occasionally and when I pick up the GPro, it's like "ahhhhh, yes" that's the ONE.

I have not played much tennis in the past 5 years. My previous racket was the Angell TC 95s 16x19. Great feel, power, and spin, but could never quite jive with the high launch angle on my Eastern FH. Before that I was playing weighted Head Youtek IG Prestige MPs, and before that Pro Staff 90s. I got good as a 12-14 year old playing Prince Graphite Classics. Yes, a history of demanding players frames. Never liked Babolat because feel has always been paramount.

Nothing ever totally fit all aspects of my game until the GPro. It's helping me play better tennis than ever at 42 years old.

ive got Restring zero 123mm at 53lbs - in the new 2025 gravity pro, im loving this setup, as restring zero is lively and slightly stiffens the stringbed which i prefer

gave a quick test to Gravity Pro 2025, and bought another 2023 :) .... also bought Lynx Tour 18 in standard champagne ...

we will see how it feels compared to Lynx Tour 17 ...

New member here.
After using customized 2023 Gravity MP, I try to replace it with uncustomized Gravity Pro.
Any difference in 2023 and 2025 GPro?

gave it a quick test, so not that reliably but ... 2025 was also with Lynx tour, dont know the tension ...

for me, 2023 felt better, it has right amount of feel and stiffens ... 2025 feels softer and more muted... of course, the difference is not big, but i prefer 2023 version ...

maybe because i got used to it ...

had 2019, preferred 2021 model... they said that is the same, but it wasn't, 2021 was better for me...

then preferred 2023 over 2021, difference was again small but ... and 2023 paintjob is nicer ...

getting 2025 GPro is, if you want bit head lighter balance and you really like the paint... for me, i will skip this generation ...

Just stocked up on my 2nd 2023 GP - PSA for those thinking about it, these seem to be disappearing from major retailers’ inventory. Really happy with the GPro and glad to have decided on this as my main racket for the foreseeable future.

This thread inspired me to setup one of the 2019 GPros last night. Felt great, but will see how it goes on the court.
Sexy thin beam felt great too. lol

I tried Lynx touch 1.25 in my aux 1.0. It didn’t lack the feel I was expecting at 50 lbs. however , I do get a sense after one match, this may not last. The performance was better than I thought. Pretty good spin too.

I see TW still has some 2023 left. But only in L2.
Anyone do the pallet change themselves? Timely, risky, difficult? all 3 ?
I have done it on some old heads to go from tk82 to tk82s. It takes a bit of effort, but there are videos on youtube you can use for guidance. If you get the pallet off neatly, you can reuse the double-sided tape underneath. To me, the biggest nuisance is that you have to trim the pallet flush with the hairpin.

Not bad, but if there is a next time, I will probably check to see how much a shop can do it for.

As far as riskiness is concerned, you might damage the original pallet, but I do not think you can damage the racquet. You might void the warranty, though. I suppose you should also wear some sort of mask if you plan on sanding the end of the pallet.

Have you guys noticed Sasha Zverev playing with old cosmetics, likely back to Pro? Beam looks 20mm, and Pro yoke...

so whats everyone set up, i still prefer mine at stock weight with a kimony overgrip and restring zero at 53lbs.

currently trying Tru pro rush at 47lbs - really liked this - very similar to restring zero, but with slightly less spin / power, however find it better with a flatter stroke

Hyper-G/Hyper-G round hybrid, confidential, tourbite, cyclone. Will try Mach-10 next. (All 1.10-1.15 strings to keep swingweight down).
Didn’t really care for lynx tour, not enough bite on the ball.
Typically string 21-23kg range.

I've settled on Grapplesnake Tour M8 at 48/46 in my 2023 GPros. It takes a couple hours to settle in and then plays with great feel, power, and predictability for the next 10. Special string IMO.

I’ve two matched Gravity Pro (2025)’s on the way!! Love this frame so much. They are both slightly above spec (~319 grams w/ plastic still on the handle, unstrung) with a slightly lower than spec balance point. After these measurements, leather grips were added to both of them! I can’t wait. I fell in love with the GPro trying to find something to replace my darling Six.One 95.

I’m trying these strings in my two racquets, in order, over time:

Tour Bite Round
Pink Confidential
O-Toro Spin
O-Tour Tour
Two colors of Lynx Tour

I’m pumped!

Hello there! Interested in people's thoughts on getting the 2025 Auxetic 2.0 Gravity Pro vs the 2023 Auxetic 1.0 Gravity Pro. I can get the 2023 version for about $100 less. My main worry is just the swingweight, I've heard that the 2025 version is easier to use and more maneuverable but just wanted people's thoughts. Thanks.
