Still in love with my 2021 Gpro! I am currently experimenting with different strings. Really enjoyed Head Sonic Pro 24kg and now i have finally tried natural gut (Babolat VS Touch). I decided to take it step by step and not try it in the mains first, because i value control the most. So natural gut in the crosses 24kg and Head Hawk Power 23kg in the mains. Played one match so far and liked it but needed some time to adjust to the new feel and response. The only downside is that it increased the static weight of my racket up to 2g and funny thing that i always feel this 2g difference in my Gpro where i love it when it is 330g (no more, no less) but 332g already feels a bit slower and more cumbersome.

My next step would be to try natural gut in the mains and head hawk power in the crosses, so a reverse set up. And then i have lots of strings on my list that i would like to try in this Gpro: Head Hawk Touch, Kirschbaum Evolution, Kirschbaum Max Power, Tier One FireWire/GhostWire in a hybrid, Volkl Cyclone, Solinco Confidential, Tourna Big hitter silver, CyberFlash etc. Mostly round strings as i value control in my game and shaped strings could be quite erratic for me.

But i also wonder if you guys tried a good natural gut/poly set up. I have seen NG/4G, NG/Element. Anything else you could recommend in this fantastic frame?

Got around to recording some hitting with my GPro23 (strung with K-Pro @ 50). Had a good match too, too bad phone cut out by third hour and lost footage.

Sold my 2021 Pros way back in February, using since 20y old TFights 320…

Last week I finally ordered two GPro`s 2023 without demo. TW Europe unfortunately wasn’t cooperative regarding the “matching service” and it didn’t respond to the emails after order has been made. Bit disappointed with TWE service. Results is that I got two frames with polar opposites specs, and now need to bother to match them somehow. Anyway…

Racquets is awesome, no dissepiments there. Bit more stable and somehow nicer feel, with all attributes of previous model. Paintjob is great and one of the reasons I wanted 2023 model to replace old ones…

String the heavier one first with Lynx Tour 1.25, feels great from the first hit of the ball. Nothings to say that already wasn’t said in the thread… Just great racquet.

I really don't understand why European wholesalers do not want to help a customer the least bit... It seems that they see their online business as just a basic service of sending out things to their customer base, without any further service attached.
Would be really easy to simply offer this as a supplemental service, but I guess we leave that to the few pro shops around.

Don’t know either…

I asked them via email about matching service few months ago, and they replied that is possible and give me procedure to follow after order. Did that when I made the order, but it was no reply for couple of days… when I received email from TWE, racquets already arrived and they said “racquet matching service not available right now, sorry for the inconvenience” …

If they just reply in time, I could waited, it was no rush for me…. But now I have the hassle of matching one over spec and one under spec racquet…

This is for us gravity pros lover. I currently own 10 gravities. I have been collecting them for the past 5 years. I am currently trying to switch away from the gravity because of the weight but can’t seem to find anything else that can match it. So I am going back to it but I am trying to reduce the weight on it. My previous weight for the gravity was averaging 349 grams with overgrip, rubber band guard on the handle and head dampener. I tried to match all of my gravity to the same weight so some of them I do put tungsten putty for matching. I use a kitchen scale to measure the weight so I don’t know anything about SW.

I recently measure them all with barebones (strings and overgrip). Here is the results.

Head prime tour Overgrip, no rubber ring, no dampener

Head gravity gen 1 336 grams grip 2 (head lynx tour/head velocity)

Head gravity gen 1 343 grams grip 2 (head lynx tour/head velocity)

Head gravity gen 1 344 grams grip 2 (head lynx tour/head velocity)

Head gravity gen 1 341 grams grip 3 (head lynx tour/head velocity)

Head gravity gen 1 339 grams grip 2 (head lynx tour/head velocity)

Head gravity gen 1 336 grams grip 3 ( full bed of head lynx tour)

Head gravity gen 2 336 grams grip 3 (full bed of head lynx tour)

Head gravity gen 2 338 grams grip 3 (full bed of head lynx tour)

Head gravity gen 2 339 grams grip 2 (full bed of head lynx tour

Head gravity gen 3 342 grams grip 2 (full bed of head lynx tour)

As you can see there is only 3 rackets that are on specs (336 grams). I know head lynx tour is heavy and can add a few grams. Tennis warehouse spec is advertising them as 331 grams strung.

I am trying to reduce the weights on my gravity by removing the weighted butt cap TK219HR to TK219S (no weight trap door). That should remove at least 5-7 grams on my gravity. Let me know if you guys try this yet and see if how much it affect the balance point. Let me know!

IMO Gravity Pro needs to be over 345g.

Without it the magic is just not there and it’s just another decent frame.

Will not repeat myself here since we all know how great and special this frame is. Just another string recommendation:
Solinco Hyper G Soft 1,20 at 24/23kg.

Really didn’t like it in GPro. Yes it’s big spin and comfort, but precision and touch goes out the window.

I quite liked hyper-G soft, but I much preferred confidential. I do use thin gauge, gets it to right around 345gr and just a tad sub 330 swingweight.

I've done that I actually prefer the head-heavy balance. I also cut down the headguard and got my GPros down to 327-329g.

With news of the 98 coming out next year I decided to take out my ‘23 Pro that I’ve barely hit with. One of the pros at my club gave me a box of old Prince DNA Helix (1.31) string and decided to just string it with that. Strung weight with an Oehms leather grip and OG is at 11.5oz!!! Super super under spec. More like a Tour spec. Was hitting lights out tho!

Asked this in a different thread but might as well ask here as well: does the current GP come with the unweighted buttcap or the weighted one? I know I can just look myself but when I bought my gravity pro (off fleabay) I immediately changed the pallet for a bigger size and don’t remember what the original cap had (it’s long gone now lol).

The new and old both come with weighted buttcap ~ 7g.
