Head Gravity Pro VS Prince Textreme Tour 100 (310)?

Edgewood

Rookie
I have demoed the Gravity Pro for the last week and really like it. Coming from the Prestige MP so looking for a more forgiving, more powerful frame especially for my serve. Has anyone also hit the Prince Textreme Tour 100 (310) and can give me a comparison? Obviously one is an 18x20 and the other a 16x18 but otherwise look very similar. I will try to demo it as well but head out of town for work for a couple of weeks. Thanks.

Have owned both, prefer the Gravity Pro, it's a much nicer feeling frame. Little more pop from the 310, thicker beam, doesn't cut through the air as well as the gravity pro. I played most off my tennis with the prestige mold, I couldn't adjust/transition to the Prince 310. 310 is a nice frame, too me it's a nice option if you are looking for a more comfortable softer playing modern frame to replace a Pure Drive or something like that.

The Gravity Pro is more like a natural evolution to a modern players frame from the classic prestige frames.

I agree with ProRadTour it’s like an evolution of prestige line for the modern game.

If you compare specs of next crop of atp players like thiem zverev Tsitsipas they all use almost the same specs as gravity pro.

I have both the TT 310 and the Gravity MP (have demoed the Pro), and I prefer the feel of the Gravity line. The TT 310 feels slightly clunky through the air, but it is overall a great frame. The 16x18 pattern is actually pretty tight so the control is there, and the launch angle isn’t super high. But I’d prefer the Gravity Pro over the TT 310. It’s just a tad heavy for me, so I went with the MP for that reason and the 16x20 pattern. In regards to serving, the TT 310 has considerably more pop than either of the gravity frames. However, because of the teardrop shape of the Gravity line and the thin beam, placement and spin on serves is fantastic (confidence to add tons of spin without mis-hits. Pace is meh, but you could always drop the tension down if you really needed more pop.

Is the gravity mp more arm friendly than Prince? What about power level?

I would say the Gravity line in general is more arm friendly than the Prince, but in no means is the Prince hard on the arm. In the top of the head the Prince is slightly boardy, but that’s the trade off for the stability at its weight. Otherwise it is still a plush and connected feeling racquet. I’m actually playing a tournament today and halfway through my first round match I switched back to my TT 310 because under pressure, I found it much easier to control with its lower launch angle. Despite the 16x18 pattern, the launch is noticeably lower than the 16x20 Gravity MP, or most 16x19 frames for that matter as well. Not as low as a Blade 18x20, but definitely a controlled launch angle. The Gravity MP has great control with a fresh set of strings strung in the mid-low 50s, but once they start to lose tension, the launch angle is too high for me. Will probably try stringing in the high 50s next time with a hybrid setup

Thanks for the answer very helpfull, i didn't find the new tour very arm friendly, maybe because i had to string high to tam the power so i stick with my trusty dr98

For me feels the Tour 100 a little bit more arm friendly than the Gravity Tour and MP, maybe its only the open string patter 16/18.... but the comfort by the G Pro and MP is great, too.
