Head Gravity Pro with Tour/MP?

I pulled the trigger and bought a Head Gravity Pro and strung it with Ultra Cable 17g at 45lbs.
Feels super plush, great directional control, effortless power and depth with the added bonus of a fairly open 18x20 pattern so the bh slice really knifes.

However, with my aging body (shoulder) and tendency to play long matches, I was wondering if I should maybe get a spare Gravity MP or Tour to keep in the bag as a backup if/when my arm feels fatigued.
Anyone else employ this type of strategy and do you feel it helps or hurts your game/consistency?

Thx in advance for thoughts and advice.

I always lean towards identical rackets. I would try and work a little more upper body fitness/strengthening if you like the weight of the pro.

I'm in the same boat, my sticks are almost 12oz. I'm good for 2 hours, start to fall off the wagon after that.

I was in the same boat and asked the same question on the Gravity thread.

In the end I've ordered a second pro. As much as anything so I can play around with strings, to test side by side and have a backup for string breakages.

My other thought was that with the QC I could easily end up with a tour that almost matches my existing racket at 312g unstrung.

Maybe grab another Gravity Pro and string it up with a hybrid. If you can grab some gut that would certainly help, super comfortable and a bit more free pop.

I do this. My stick of choice is the Yonex VCP HD but it can tire me out. I have a old shoulder injury. So when my arm and shoulder are lagging behind I switch to my Gravity Tour. No issues.

I was a PT 630 user for the longest time, and went to the VCP 310 for a bit when I was searching for something lighter and open string pattern. Then heard that the Gravity had PT630 traits. Went with the MP since it was the only open pattern option.

So far, no regrets; the heavier swing weight took some time to adjust to, but in all feels great. I play in stock form as I'm not a big fan of over customizing my racket. I only recently added leather grip. However, at time I do find myself wanting a tad bit of weight on shots where I need more plow through. I would be interested in trying the Tour at some point, but will likely stay away from the Pro as I've developed elbow issues (surgery might be required) from the years of playing.

I'm a huge believer in this, and it's saved me in tournament matches, where i've fatigued using the Pro for too long and lost the speed of my swing

I had the MP and Pro, also tried the Tour

They are really all great racquets, feel is relatively the same except Pro has a slightly nicer flex and more plow than the others, but you can't go too wrong

If you want it to be similar to the Pro, i'd say get the Tour, but only if you can measure its swingweight prior, otherwise safe option is the MP

I would say that the directional control and launch angle should be fairly similar on Tour and Pro.
MP has 16x20 pattern, and there is a noticeable difference between the launch angle.
Which in turn might result in a longer time to adapt between the two, and it is probably not something I'd like to do in a competitive match.

I played for while last night with the Gravity Tour and MP.
Same string, overgrip, head tape, etc.
There were times, I could not tell the difference between the 2 when hitting.
Only places where I felt a noticeable difference was on serve and returns. Much easier to generate pace on serve with the MP and easier to get depth and direction on returns with the Tour.
Overall, I didn't really feel the string pattern difference too much in terms of spin or feel. Both were good for topspin and slice, but slice is so much better with the Pro.
I am thinking of going to multi strings lately to ease some arm discomfort, so the 18x20 might be the better way to go in that respect.
Might just have to flip a coin to see which one to I should get. . .
