Head Gravity vs Radical

Hello!

I am an old time user of Head Radical MP. Last year I switched to the Radical S because the bigger sweet spot helped me a lot since I don't play as much as I did in the past. Now I see this new Gravity series, what do you guys think compared to the Radical?

(FYI I use the IntelliTour strings 1,23mm)

Thanks for your suggestions!

I think you will like it. I played the old Ti Radical MP and thought it was the best overall racquet. Moved to the LM MP and then to the Flexpoint MP before taking 10 years off from tennis. 4.5 player, serve and volley, mostly doubles toward the end...and now. I came back to tennis a couple years ago and couldn't play the 18/20 any more. Tried the "new" racquets and couldn't play with those either; too stiff, string pattern to open, nothing felt right. Part of that is just me being rusty and not as strong as I was before. Eventually settled on the Graphene Radical from last year. It was ok and better than anything else, for me. I got the Gravity MP about 3 weeks ago and haven't given it back to the dealer yet. Not quite as powerful but a great blend of flex and power. I finally feel like I can hit out and not change my swing to accommodate the racquet. My old serve is coming back; long and loose swing with accuracy, my arm doesn't hurt, and i'm getting some touch back since the ball sits on the strings a little longer. i instantly thought it played like the old head racquets with a slightly more forgiving head size but the extra string reduced the trampoline power. I've experimented a ton with strings since i own my own machine and have some wholesale accounts. I've settled on NXT Power 17 gauge, i'm up to 55 lbs and may go a little higher now that i can have a fuller swing. Try it.

I find that the head radicals swings pretty easy through the air using a 1HBH
the speed/gravity/prestige, "in general", can be a bit heavy and bit of work for the 1hander, IMO, but not impossible
the gravity racquets being thinner options of the 3, swing a bit better, but they are still 100" racquets
the gravity racquets are great for the slice (backspin), 1hbh,
imo the head.radicals are better for the topspin 1hbh

Have played with the Gravity Pro, it feels more like the old radicals than the new radical since the release of the Graphene technology. If you want more of the classic radical feel you will find the Gravity series to your liking, if you are happy and playing well with the newer generation radicals than I would just stick with that.
