Head will be launching a new line of frames. Looks like they will be moving Zverev over to the line. The frame is thinly beamed, and fans of more classic frames will be having a good year. The Gravity is black and blue. A picture from the reveal event was posted to Emilio Sanchez Instagram (@emiliosanchezoficial). Seem's they will be doing a build up similarly to the clash. Not to give too much away but I believe it is similar to Wilson releasing the Ultra Tour.

From the pic on instagram it looks very thin beamed indeed. I had hope it would be something great, but i just zoomed the pic and saw something i really dislike, which is the graphene logo on the throat.

I don't believe that Graphene is culprit for Head's bad racquets in last decade, but cheap not quality materials in general. Probably just a bit of Graphene in racquet, if anything ? Probably more marketing mumbo jumbo!?

Gotta say, curious to see what this frame is like.

But i would say i'd love to see a 27.5 players frame out there, but not liking getting even close to an option like that happenening.
Head please listen to the masses, bring back Twaron, make us a frame that doesnt feel like a brittle piece of overstiff balso wood, go back ot what made you great rather then throwing every new idea out there into your range.

Heck i'd go a 27.5 all blk microgel radial midplus or OS if i could, made a gr8 platform for mods

Here in Brazil you can still find the IG speed brand new in one retailer, and also brand new IG Radical MPs and Microgel Prestige MP, all for a good price and from a reputable store. So, if this is the case, i won't care about them.

I’ll bet Head uses the Graphene process to suck all the stability out of the throat and give it the metallic/ broken glass feel at the tips. I shudder to think of what they will create.

It's a little hard to tell from the pic, but to me it looks kind of box beamed. Anyone else see that?

this release will create more questions than answers to be honest.

For example:
  • Will head shelf a racket line to add this new racket to the current lineup?
  • What other specs could they possibly change so they don’t compete with their own rackets (hoping for an extended length)
  • Will Graphene finally be viable?

Maybe because they want to attract so the new customers as existing Head customers and sell N + 1 racquet. They want to convince us that we need a new racket every year. Every new racquet is slightly:) better than the previous one according to marketing brochures.

In all these years, there have been so many improvements that I do not even have to play tennis any more, the racquet does everything on its own. Now I need only the right shoes to improve my foorwork.

I haven’t bought a new HEAD racquet in over 5 years now. They lost me as a customer. I don’t see myself buying a new HEAD racquet anytime in the near future.

Looks like it has something similar to "power hole" slots at 3 &9 much like the blade 104.

Also looks to have slots at 12 as well. So this is kindof an oport lite frame.

i mean if they want to reintroduce a flexy thin beamed 18x20 100 sq in with blue paint im good with that. this “massive” (twss) sweetspot business has me worried though. its similar to the marketing they did on the MxG

he he, we have "problems" with rotating the ball and we get aero with a very open string pattern for massive spin; then we have problems with our elbows and we get Clash Revolution; now we have already a problem to hit with center of the hoop and Head delivers us a massive sweet spot*.

I don't want all above characteristics, I just want a racquet made with quality materials, like old Head Austrian beauties, like old Wilson Pro Staffs, like old Donnay Pro Ones, etc.

*Is a massive sweet spot any good for a control ?
