Head i.Prestige xtralong

I recently acquired an i.Prestige xl from a friend, and I have come to realize I do not like the extra length. I am just curious if i cut it down to 27" will this be the same thing as a standard i.Prestige, or do they have a different layup?

I really like the soft whippy feel, I just can't adjust to the length as it is the only extended racquet I own and have ever played with.

i think layup should be same but you will need to add weight to get the weight and balance similar to regular version. i dont think it will feel exactly the same tho since the weight wont be distributed in the same places as the regular one if that makes sense

They are a popular and rare find, so my advice is sell that stick on the auction sight and simply find yourself a standard I Mid before you ruin that one.

I would try to sell it, but the paint is in terrible shape, I don't know how it was stored, but all the lettering has faded off. I got it from a friend at work who said it's been sitting in her closet for the last 10 years. I don't think I would get enough for it to purchase a regular i.prestige mp in a condition that would be satisfactory to me.

I have already put lead, CAP grommets and a leather grip on it so I am not really concerned with the weight not being the same as a standard Iprestige mp.

Go for it. It is 10 grams lighter and 3 pt more HL than regular iPrestige. Feels softer too. You will end up with a superior racquet -- lighter and flexier. I found the regular iPrestige too stiff and too dead for my liking. The XL version is much better.

I have an extra long cut down to 27 inches, this is the I prestige xtralong intelligence stick, and can confirm it’s a softer feel than regular iprestige... I added lead for some more punch but overall it’s a beauty to hit with

You don't realise how much less choice there is for people who play extended. If there's no cracks it is fine

I have two or three of these that I don’t use with the “soft” paint. They hit very good but I’ve found my keeper and these are just collecting dust.
