There don't seem to be too many of them out on the market. Any help would be appreciated.
If you can get your hands on one, the original 03 Tour oversize is an awesome frame. Other than that, the POG and some of the HEAD Radical's are the next best thing I can think of.
That whole original 03 series is great. In fact, I'd go so far as saying the 03 Tour MID is one of the greatest frames of all time. Prince needs to calm down with the new model lines and make this frame again.
Vantage 105 frames (borderline "oversize") can be had 10.2 or 10.6 ounces unstrung and are very headlight. I recently started playing with one again, leaded to about 11.5 strung, and like it, may switch to it. Curiously, the 76 (unstung) flex is quite a good stick, maybe better than the 70.
Prince Speedport Silver. Under 10 oz. 118 sq. in. and incredibly stiff.
I'm surprised no one mentioned Head <technology> Radical OS
Speedport SIlver is neither headlight nor greater than 10 oz., but your reading comprehension is otherwise superb.
Innocent mistake. Thanks for the sarcasm.
Donnay pro1 int'l OS. Channel your inner agassi
Wish they had one in Agassi yellow.
Yeah, this is the exact opposite of what I'm looking for, but I appreciate the effort
Found this link after some Googling.
What about that oversize Ncode? I can't remember what it's called but I'm sure it's head light and relatively weighty for an OS stick.
The Donnay Pro One oversize, the POG Oversize, the Head ____ Radical Oversize.
Pro One is really great; we're having a Renaissance together
nblade 106 you might still be able to find, fischer m pro 105 is an EXCELLENT one also, a must demo
Keep the suggestions coming. Thanks everyone for your input so far.
head radical trisys 260 is the best oversize racquet. it's one of the only ones that has a real player racquet feel and control and it doesnt have to be strung tight as a drum to keep the ball in (18x19 pattern). the POG OS is very nice too but it chews on strings and doesnt have as much oomph on serves. you can score radical 260 os on the classifieds or the bay for under 70 bucks. they cut the air really nice for an OS. I might add that a lot of Prince and Head 100 sq in. sticks with the round headshape offer a lot of the advantages of OS but are more manueverable and come in more specs.
Great point. I've been paying more attention to the actual shape of the head and have considered going down a little in size so I have some more options. I've traditionally been a Prince guy, but I'm willing to try anything.
Take any Head Heavy OS racket that is in the 9oz-10oz range... every manufacturer makes around 20 of these now-a-days. So finding one that's the right swing weight, length, stiffness, and grip shape should be easy.
Add 1oz near the butt cap and you will transform it into the racket you're looking for and it will have a nice polarization factor.
NXG OS is a fantastic stick and dirt cheap
Dirt cheap is always good
