HEAD LM Prestige vs Head PC600

Hi,
I have had the FXP racquets and did not like them at all... my question is, what is the difference between PC600 and LM Prestige? just the material?
the LM does not seem to have the LM ridges (as LM radical and instinct do) so than what is the difference?
I currently have the Head Classic tour and absolutely love it....
can someone tell the key differences between LM Prestige and PC600? both in Mid sizes.....

i know many pros still use the Org PC600 why not the LM? visually i do not see any differences other than PJs

I am not telling you which is better, but you still can get both new before they run out of stock. Try it yourself in all fairness, you might like what others do not like.

and besides..... i don't think anyone has the LM prestige anymore....

does anyone know where i can find new LM prestiges?
 
I think the racquets are quite different, although I quite like the LM despite them. To me, the upper hoop of the LM is stiffer and the balance feels just a tad heavier in the head than the PC600. One thing that doesn't actually affect play is the fact that the LM sounds different from previous Prestige racquets--I found it to be pingy sounding when used without a vibration dampener. I've stuck with my PC600s, especially since the LM is now discontinued. I didn't really like the FXP at all.
 
I love the LM Prestige MP. I have gotten two new ones and am up to 6. I have two orginal PC600 and also a FXP Prestige and never ever use the FXP, but I do use the 600 often when training but not in matches that count unless I am really needing some pin point shots and am "feeling the Groove." As I get older it just takes too much to play three sets with the feel I get from the 1st with the 600
 
The FXP series and the new release of the PC600 are all really bad, other wise the LM, old prestige, and inteli series are all good.

The LM mid needs lead at 12, you will want to bring SW to 350+, so if you can't handle a racket like that you may want to skip it and look for more classic prestiges which are the best for serves with the tour version IMO being better for ground strokes.

But really the need to just go back to the original classic and just make it a bit more ground stoke freindly.
 
I have recently demoed the Liquidmetal Prestige mid and I own a PC600. Here's my opinion:

PC600: The racket flexes nicely and feels like everything is flexing uniformly on contact. It has a buttery feel, and it seems as if the harder you hit the ball the better it feels (assuming you hit the sweet spot). The sweet spot on this racket is smaller. It seems as if the sweet spot is right in the middle. Hitting the lower part of the string bed feels fine, and hitting the top of the string bed is a little jarring (but not bad). This is due to the racquet's balance. The racquet offers some nice pop when swinging hard, but not much when swinging slowly. Overall the racquet has a classic, uniform, soft feel.

LM Prestige: The flex on this racquet is all messed up. The head of the racquet flexes all over the place and feels weird on contact. However, I think Head did this intentionally. The lm prestige is much more forgiving than the PC600, and I think it is due to all of the flex in the head. This racquet offers noticeably more power than the PC600. The power level seems more unpredictable than the PC600 though. The PC600 has a uniform power level, while only generating a tad bit more power when hitting the sweet spot. On the other hand, the lm prestige is all over the place. If you hit the sweet spot the ball has some nice pop. If you hit the lower string bed, there's not much power, and hitting the top of the string bed results in a much slower shot. The sweet spot on this racquet is notably larger. Not much larger, but the increase in size would probably result in more balls hitting the sweet spot. This racquets feels more flexible and softer than the PC600 if you hit the sweet spot, but if you don’t then it’s pretty stiff.

In the end, it depends on what you want. The lm prestige is more forgiving and offers more pop. The PC600 feels great when you strike the ball correctly, and feels nice even if you mishit. The reason why many people hate the lm prestige is because it feels completely different form the classic, uniform feel of the PC600. I personally prefer the PC600 because it feels better when I play with it. However, I did notice that I hit the ball harder and hit more balls in with the lm prestige. In my opinion, they’re two completely different racquets. These are my opinions, but I think it’s a pretty good analysis.

I totally agree with this review. The more uniform and solid response of the PC makes it more confortable to play with IMHO.
