Head Lynx Tour for really advanced teenager

Lynx Tour is very firm and lower powered, I'd just be cautious
Hybrid is a good choice if you use a softer cross.

I think "more power" and "more spin" are probably contradictory in this case. Most strings that significantly increase spin are going to be the same or even lower-powered. Most strings that add significant power are going to decrease spin over full-bed Lynx Tour.

I think Lynx Tour is a typical average poly string power-wise. I would call it medium powered for a poly with medium+ spin and a firm (but not harsh) feel. It's unlikely that you're going to get a huge power increase unless you go for a different string type altogether in the hybrid. But that will drop your spin by a lot.

Maybe you could consider a slippery round poly in the cross with a little more pop than Lynx Tour, something like Poly Tour Fire.

Or maybe you just need to play with reducing tension, especially on the crosses.

I know a 15 year old who plays national and some international (5.5 NTRP if you convert the ratings) and he uses lynx tour mains and Head syn gut PPS crosses.

Do you think head velocity on crosses and Lynx tour on mains is ok?
It would play well for the first few hours but depending on how hard and how much spin he hits the ball with, the Lynx tour will shred the multi, causing the stringbed to lock up.

I think you should go with what others are recommending which is Head Lynx Touch and see how he likes it. Ideally, if you want Lynx tour in the mains, you want a slippery round poly cross for more snapback/spin and there are plenty of those. It's all just preference.

I am currently using a hybrid of Head Lynx Tour and Head Hawk touch on my 360+ Radical MP. Feels more comfortable than full Lynx tour and has more pop/power for me. Might want to check it out

I'm using this combo right now and I really like it. Decent pop and good control. Pretty good feel which is something the Clash can use

Try head hawk touch and head hawk as a cross. First will offer more power, softer feedback (bigger sweetspot) but a bit less control than the second option.
