Yeah, agreed. It still has decent control and works super well in tight pattern racquets, but in my EP98 the orange 1.20 plays a lot better.

I haven't. Lynx Tour is pretty heavy so Mach-10 balances the weight out plus I really enjoy the feel/touch of Mach-10. I enjoy the extra power just not a super high launch angle.

Just restrung a Blade 100 Pro from Lux 4G 1.25 to Lynx Tour 1.25 Grey. Strung swingweight went up 3.5 points before & after.
Based on my past experience, going from an average or lighter than average 1.25mm poly to Lynx Tour can improve stability, and obviously makes it a bit slower through the air.
String weight difference is a much bigger story in the playability difference between strings than we typically give it credit for.
You can use that info as a tool to pair sticks that are just a bit too heavy/too light with what you want to take the swingweight.
Also beware that using a heavier string in a setup that’s already almost too heavy for one’s comfort zone can negatively impact results more than its string characteristics

Agree. String weight affects swing feel A LOT. I can't use 1.25mm LT but 1.20mm LT is my current fav string. Just restrung 2 of mine w/ STF just to test it out, gonna try it tomorrow. But full bed LT is my most trusted string in a match.
Weight is the main reason I am using 1.20mm, it's significantly lighter than the 1.25.
Head Lynx Tour 1.25 has superior playability duration over the 1.20 in my open pattern frame perhaps around double the playability time. No surprise there but I have around 6 hours of play and it still plays at a very high level perhaps can get 2-3 more hours out of it. With the 1.20 I felt like there was a short playability window about 2 hours before it started to get unpredictable/launchy so I was re-stringing a lot before practice matches and league play.

Hmm I have tried a lot of strings... I haven't found any as of yet that have the combination of arm comfort, control, and versatility like 1.20mm Lynx Tour, at least not in the EP98.
I am coming off TE and many stiff control polys still bother my arm. LT 1.20mm does not.

What did you think about Mach-10 or Confidential Soft 1.25mm if you have tried?
I found those to be similar to Lynx Tour 1.20 champagne in power level, weight, but has better comfort and longer playability duration especially. Mach-10 is a bit more lively at same tension while confidential soft is a bit more controlled/predictable

More than double the play time for me.
It’s the loss of control that makes strings not playable anymore for me. And the 1.25mm maintains good control for a much longer time. At least for me, Lynx Tour does not stiffen up and go dead even towards the end of its life as much as other polys. So I can play until it feels completely bagged or ball starts launching. 12-15h easily
I agree, I hate the loss of control as well. The 1.20 gauge in an open pattern is a bit too lively imo. 1.25 is perfect
I thought Mach10 was too launchy in the Extreme, just too much power. Couldn't control it in a match. I do like regular Confidential, but it's too stiff for me to use regularly. Planning to try Conf soft among with some others once the season winds down.
I have used 1.25 Lynx Tour and liked it, but I generally like thinner strings anyway when I can make them work, and the orange 1.20 just works so well in my setup. Very happy TWE carries it, but wish I could still find it in reels.
