Head pallet system

Are all Head rackets compatible with the Head pallet system, including the most recent releases? In particular, I’m wondering if the pallets can be replaced on the Graphene Touch Prestige Pro.

So far I understand that there are two kinds of replacement pallets: TK82 (rectangular shape) and TK82S (square shape for Speed rackets).

Thanks.

Is there a change in weight when going up or down one grip size? If so, what is the approximate weight difference between 4 1/4 and 4 3/8?

If you go with the TK82S, what butt cap do you need? Would one get the generic type like posted below?

I think the regular Head butt caps should fit, because the plastic is flexible enough to bend and give a little. The only concern is whether you'd like the shape.

If you'd like a more round butt cap, you could go with either the generic, Wilson, Prince, etc. In some cases you might even be able to pry off the dome cap and replace it with a Head if you so desire the Head logo.

@scotus Thanks for your input. I think I have one racquet with the S pallet and a standard butt cap. When I'm constantly playing with Head racquets, I actually don't mind the shape. I was hitting with my Angell that had more of a Wilson grip and another coach wanted to try it out. I switched to my Bumblebee and really noticed the change of shape and was a bit weird for a couple hits.

Are all the current Head rackets compatible with the Head pallet system? Can't find any info regarding this issue on their website.

Be aware that Tk 82S pallets do not fit properly all Head frames, they are made for Speed series, they have different fitting area. I tried to install them on my TGT 231.3 TT and they were not fitting properly, had to go for Tk82 and shave bevels 1 and 5 as I prefer the Wilson shape. On the other hand, butt cap TK 219 is fitting properly Tk82 and Tk82S.

@H22 fan, how did the TK82S pallets not fit? Interference or too much clearance? Short side or long side? Or, something else?

I recently put a TK82S onto an older MG Radical to match newer MG Radicals that came with TK82S. No issues.

Not so easy to explain, the pallets were not resting on the hairpin, and the grip was too squarish. Tried to sand down the inner part (the bigger one) of pallets, still did not like it. Went back to tk82 and modify them.

I've never seen it like this before.
The new pallets create a 2mm gap on the dividing plane - but the outer contour is exactly the same as on the older models where there was no gap - so to mill off something inside is total nonsense.

I've seen them (TK82S) on the 360 frames - Extreme and the Radial (haven't checked the Instinct/Prestige). I have a customer who loves/bought the new 360 Radical MP but hates the grip shape (he had a Radical MPA 16x16), so we ordered a TK82 from **** will give it a go.

**** Tennis has pallets that fit Head frames only, and have both shapes as need (TK82/TK82S).
