that is because Head have standardised their offerings, so the old Prestige MP = the new Prestige Pro (it has already been discussed..)

No one can say that Jonas isn’t honest in his opinions. Despite getting the new Prestige racquets gratis from HEAD, he’s said he didn’t find much difference and therefore no need to spend more money getting the new version if happy with the present 360+ version. Also said that one could just buy a 360+ instead and save some cash given the outgoing range is now discounted.
It’s first impression and review. He might have more to share several months later.
BTW, I can see his racquet head speed is slower compared his other reviews. His opponent on this video seems handle prestige better.

this racquet intrigues the heck out of me and not even for the reasons the Prestige does. 18x19 pattern, 99sq inch, thinish beam, relatively HL and soft. I feel like I need to hit this.

I have not tested the release version but the prototype back in March. If it is the same one, I thought the launch angle was higher and there was little more flex in the throat and slightly more solid head. I liked it…

Unless it is a typo on the website, they bumped up the weight from 305g to 310g.

I use the Prestige MP too and I found a nice improvement in the new Prestige Pro. I found the Prestige Pro to feel softer, more flexible in the throat, I found the string bed to feel more lively, and I found a higher launch angle off the string bed.

Prestige prices just went up. $260 for the pro and tour and $250 for the mp. This is getting out of control….pandemic or not, we will not be seeing $200-220 newly released racquets ever again.

Well, racquet prices hung around the 200 dollar mark for 10-15 or more years while almost all other comsumer goods have gone up steadily.

The price point when the frames showed up on Monday on the head site was at $230. I was simply happy to see that, and it’s the same price the new Blade v8 is going for. I was just noting the price adjustment that occurred today. I was surprised more at the price point on Monday than I am about today’s adjustment.

The prestige 360+, well the current one right now still until this new one releases has held a high price I think, I know many retailers seemed to have stock issues. It will be interesting to see how it closes price wise. I would like another myself. I would like a brand new version also but that is some premium paying around the £200 mark, I would be wanting a pro stock for that sort of money personally

There are no more 360+ MP available to order from Head in the UK. I grabbed the last 1 a couple of weeks back. They only have the 360+ Pro & Mid left in the range available.
When I get my stock in, I'm expecting to have them on the shelf for under £200; and that'll be strung too.

It's bizarre how initially the price was $229.95, cheaper than the current models, then changed to, well I guess the same price as a VCP... Kind of. Meh. Well, that definitely killed much of my excitement. Happy with the awesome deal I got on my G360+ PMPs (~$160), so yeah.

They were still overpriced then. The only company that can justify higher prices is Yonex due to higher labor costs and better QC.
I can’t second this because Yonex’s swingweight qc is all over the place. I agree with static and balance point qc being high, but swingweight is just as important.

Nah, I asked a retailer if I could ask if there was some future further discount to be expected as the date of the new line got closer, and the person who got back to me offered an additional 15% off, to my surprise. Edit: I got two, so 15% off $189.

Literally no major manufacturer guarantees swingweight though. Wilson is charging even more for Pro Staffs than Yonex is for VCP's and their QC is total garbage. It would be nice if SW was guaranteed, but I don't see it happening due to cost.

Has anyone heard/seen anything at their local tennis shops about the release date and when they’ll receive them. I spoke to a few stores/pro shops and they seemed to know nothing about it. Not even a pre sale online yet. Keep in mind I’m in Canada. Wondering if you guys are experiencing the same?
It has been reported on a Talk Tennis thread that they will be launched on 4 November. On Tennisnerd's Prestige review a document is shown that quotes prices in euros and states that the retail launch with be 21 November. Curiously apart from Tennisnerd and some videos done by Japanese retail shops, naturally in Japanese, there does not seem to be much information out there about release dates and pre-sale options, at least that I have come across. .

There is no such thing. PT10 is the layup and still widely used in different molds.
The TK10 mold is not used on the tour any more

I held it when I was at the BNP. It was strung and it had a head heavy balance. Likely off spec but that’s the one tw had in the back of the tent and it did not feel right in my hand. Not sure what balance should be but it would be a great stick if you could get it to a Vcore pro or pro staff HL balance

Tennis warehouse video reviews are up and rackets are preorder on site. Tour has a nasty high SW.. looks like the pro is close to unchanged with the updated tech in throat creating a nice flex.. sounds good to me. Seems like a good contender to the Vcore pro D, tf40/ blade.. being more HL with a slightly lower sw than all those sounds great!

TW note on Swingweight: they changed it from 325 to 327 based on additional samples on the Pro. Swingweight lowered to 338 from 341 on the Tour.
One thing I don't get is that the Tour (which should be the harder racquet to use) is stiffer than the Pro. I'd expect the Tour to be flexible and heavy and the Pro to be lighter and stiffer.
Is 325 high swingweight these days? I guess 338 is.

I assume if the Tour had the same beam thickness of 20 mm it would be as flexible as the Pro but it would have to be around 325 grams unstrung weight for it to be stable. The prestige line NEEDS to be solid stock it’s the DNA.
My view is that recently brands that make 95 sq.in racquets (Dunlop, Yonex, Head) try to keep them light (310-315 grams) to make them appealing to the general public and instead look to change elsewhere for stability (beam thickness for example, hence stiffer)

Being able to swing a racquet is important to liking a racquet. I liked the v7 blade but the horrible QC always gave me head heavy balances and 330+ swingweights, which I can’t handle.
