What's the difference between a Head prestige classic and a head prestige classic 600?

Also, can you tell me where I can get them for a good price besides ****?

Same racquet

Prestige Classic = Prestige Classic 600 = Classic Mid.

There is a seller selling one for $60 plus shipping in the classifieds.

I believe the Head Prestige Classic 600 was marketed in Europe while the US saw the Prestige Classic. Then, in a more recent special order, TW got their batch with "600." There's necessarily no difference in specs between the two paintjobs.

I think the reason why Head dropped the 600 designation for the US was just the different system of measurement. The US had sticks with meaningless 260, 280, 300, etc. numbers, so a "600" thrown in would make things confusing.

The three digit numbers were for the Trisys System racquets in the U.S. According to a Head rep I talked to, he told me that it's this thing where it dampens the vibrations. Also there were some Trisys racquets without Twarons.

The "600" stood for 600 cm2. which would approximately equal 93 in2.

Basically the same, with suspenion grip to dampen the vibrations. Supposedly softer and a bit more flexible than the non-SG Prestiges as well.

Head dropped the Prestige name after Wilson protested that it owned that name. Believe the Classic mid does not have that plastic sleeve above the grip. Trisys 300 all had the suspension grip.

well, my prestige classic from austria just say "prestige" on the one side and "classic mid" on the other. no 600 or 280.....

Hey guys... While I was playing with the Wilson tour 90 I've been wondering thru these posts for ages lookin for informations about the prestige series until I bought and played with them all... so it might be useful for you if I post you my experience. First of all I am european and live not too far away from austria, where the raquets are produced-
I've played for a few months with the Prestige tour and i've been playin now for a few months with the Prestige classic... both are midsize...
Well... the raquets are completely different... they're not even close to each other... the tour is softer and is much more head-light... you can feel the strain of swingin such a raquet without producing any head-speed and any power... you're never gonna hit a ball long cuz most of them won't pass the service line.
When I first hit with the prestige classic I barely had an orgasm. LOL. The raquet is nearly a full inch head heavier than the tour... and whistle in the air when you swing it... "that's the sound you hear when MARAT is servin if you listen to it carefully"... it's stiffer... and when you hit the sweetspot the ball gets back to your opponent with so much punch it looks like a rocket.
Even tho I live here I'm now playin with the American version... as Ronaldo said Wilson claimed the "prestige" rights... so the US modell I have and I'm usin is just called CLASSIC MID... and says HEAD on the other side of the throat. The european versions of my friends instead just say PRESTIGE 600 or PRESTIGE CLASSIC 600... cause that's the measure we use...

Yeah ffrpg... I bet it's not easy to get your hands on one of them...
Anyway... I think I am at the moment the equivalent of an american 4.5
The first thing I got to say is that the tour 90 was causin me a sore elbow and I had to give it away after 4 months I was playin with it. The dime size sweetspot was quite difficult to find unless I was lookin straight into the ball and it was feelin for me too harsh on off center hits... especially on my serve which was causin me problems to the elbow. I could generate a good spin tho because of the open string pattern
The prestige classic is definitely not as stiff as the tour 90 and has got much more pop off the raquet and plugh trhu the ball way more than the tour 90... I mean... with the tour 90 I was able to hit a nice short crosscourt forehand, while with the prestige classic you get the very best results when you stay on the line of the ball for as long as possible... you love the sound of the ball comin out of the strings with so much power you cant believe you just hit that ball. on the backhand side instead I'm not bothered about the string pattern cause it seems like my slice is even better than the one I used to hit with the tour 90 and that's due to the nice weight and balance of the prestige. You just have to get used when to hit your topspin backhand with it (I play one hand) cause the upper hoop is completely dead... but once you learn to catch the ball a little lower in the stringbed you'll love the results.

Is the difference in the head heavyness because of the suspension grip of the tour?
