Head Prestige Mid - Grommets

I am writing to see if you have grommets that can fit the Head Prestige Mid. I believe it is the MicroGEL model. The data on the grommets are as follows

Tk237 a-pat nr 386531

I took a look at the Tools & Supplies section. Would the YouTEK Prestige Mid be compatible?

I do not believe we have any grommets that will fit. However, I am following up with our Head rep to see if there is anything that will fit.

All pre-graphene mid cap grommets are interchangeable. I would avoid the clear IG ones if poss, not very strong.

Head YOUTEK IG Prestige Mid Grommet is 18x20 and has same stringing instructions as the MG Prestige Mid. Should fit.

I heard about the IG fitting the MG. Just looking for confirmation. Appreciate it.

@stingstang - what do you mean as not very strong? Do they break on install?, tie off holes cracking? Wear out fast? I don't hit a lot of low slices on the back hand but I do hit pick up volleys often.

The white grommets are more susceptible to breaking based on hearsay. That's why all the black ones went first. You won't have many other choices since TW only has these white ones. You could look in the usual suspect places, but then your cost would probably go up. It may be time to upgrade to newer frames.

did the same on my MG prestige mid. the clear ones seem softer (and possibly thinner?) than the original black ones. the slot for the strings is a bit wider, so it's easier to remove the strings after you cut them out.

I've broken several of the tube bits with shaped poly's and cracked one bumper (on an IG extreme pro with clears)

Wow, what a time for this thread as two weeks ago, I broke the grommet on one of my YouTek IGs. My break occurred at 9 o'clock, on a mishit backhand.

Just came across 2 prestige mid you teks and 2 prestige mid IG you teks.
All grommets need to be replaced . Are they the same grommets for both and if so is it the 285768 or the 285522 that will work? Or something else ? Thanks
