Head prestige molds

I havent been keeping track of all the changes with the prestige. I played with the microgel/youtek prestige MP for the longest time. Couple of questions.

1) Is the 2023 Head prestige pro the same mold as the microgel/youtek racquets?
2) If not, then I'm assuming the old cap or rmicrogel radical MP grommets wont fit the 2023 Prestige Pro frames?
2) does the microgel/youtek prestige MP's have the same mold as the PT57a?

1. No. New Prestige Pro is a true 98 sq head size racquet (Microgel and Youtek are 95 sq head size).
2. No, they don't fit.
3. No. It is close, but you can only find that mold in Pro Tour 630/280, Head Radical Tour (Bumblebee, Zebra Candycane), Head I. Prestige MP. I think Head Ti. Pro Tour also share the same mold but with other string pattern.

The older grommets won’t fit cause it’s a new string pattern. Neither will the old radical grommets fit it.

1) Molds:
MG + YT Prestige MP/Pro = TK238 mold
YT IG Prestige MP/Pro = TK293
Graphene (XT, Touch) MP = TK293
360+ Prestige MP = TK345
Auxetic 1.0 + 2.0 Pro = TK345
(note: what is now called “Pro”, used to be the MP in the past)

2) TK238, TK293 and TK57A grommets are interchangeable

3) PT57A mold is TK57A

Interesting, so how is it that the molds are different but grommets are interchangeable for the MG/YT and IG/Graphene?
Also, any comment on the whole 98inch back then was truly a 95? Its hard for me to believe that the liquidmetal radical back then is smaller than the 2023 prestige pro and the same size as the 2023 prestige tour.

Are you new to this whole thing???
TK238, TK231 (MG Radical MP), TK260 (YT Radical MP, IG Radical MP + Pro), TK293 (IG Prestige MP/Pro, Graphene MP, Graphene XT MP, Graphene Touch MP, TK57A, TK57E, TK113A, TK113B, TK346, and I am sure I have missed a few....are all 95 sq in, same 18x20 and 16x19 drill patterns and interchangeable* grommets (* = some tie offs may need some work to fit the grommets)

they are a new user, so probably lol

I am aware they’re all “95” and have 18x20 vs 16x19 pattern. And I am aware you’ve memorized a lot of pro stock codes. But let me rephrase:

- what makes the molds different? If they have interchangeable grommets, all are “95,” what makes them different? Shape?

And AGAIN - search, ALL this was covered multiple times in the past!!!!

some of those molds have obvious differences (like TK231 or TK260), some less obvious.
TK57A vs TK57E have bridge Area differences and beam thickness difference.
TK238 vs TK293 have the handle length differences and slight hoop shape difference
TK57A vs TK293 have string channel ending differences
TK113A vs TK113B vs TK346 all have different string channel endings…

And I can go on and on…

Thanks. I’m not searching for that, that takes too long silly goose.

@dr325i helps those who help themselves

I feel this vibe - Yeah, he is mostly right but....

I guess I should just be quiet and let you help these noobs with their questions…

No no no. We absolutely need your to save us. This generation of tennis nerds is going to the dogs...

(Sometimes people give me mad props because they think I am you due to the 325 in the username)

Nah fam imagine being angsty on a tennis forum about searching for racquet codes. Close your eyes if it bothers you bruh

You seem like a new user, who maybe doesn’t understand fully the scope of how many questions Dr325 and VSb have answered over the years. Have done a selfless service to us all informing about things otherwise not told to the public

A lot of redundant questions continue to be asked that are previously answered. I’d imagine anyone would get a little worn down/bothered by that ongoing dynamic ……

I've always assumed my Graphene Touch MP Prestige was a PT57A. Even the ending of the string channels seem very very similar, I kind of assumed the apparent (noticeable) difference could be just due to the Pro Tour 2.0 having a glossy paint job finish and the GT MP being Matte (at least at the channel ending area).
I guess as far as molds go, you could expect almost exact same performance from a TK57A and a TK293, then? Don't think a channel ending being round or squared would do much difference, would it?
In fact, I do have a pair of liquid metal Radicals which have mold differences in the channel endings... Do they also have different mold codes, then?

There’s more than the grommets channel that’s different between the TK293 and TK57A. The yoke on the TK57A is longer and the grip is short while compared to the TK293 has a shorter yoke and a longer grip. What is most important about the performance of the frame is the layup.
Your LM Radical in change of mold has to do with rackets that were made in Austria vs china.
There has also been slight changes tweaks to the mold of the TK10 over the decades. The grommets channel at the end changed slightly. Where the early ones had an indentation so the CAP grommets would fit seamlessly and then in the mid 90’s it was changed.

Sorry to bring this old post back to life, but you make it sound like the TK293 and TK57A are only different in the yoke/grip area, so have the same differences than TK293 and TK238 do. Is that correct?
I was always under the assumption, that all the Prestige MP/Pro had a 21mm beam, with the TK57A being the only exception at 20mm.
I hope someone can clear this up for me, I am especially interested in the difference between the TK57E and the TK238, because I don't know of any changes in the mold after the thickness changed from 20mm -> 21mm after the PT630 (?) until they made the grip longer after YouTek before IG. But that would mean that TK238 would also be the mold of Liquidmetal and Flexpoint, which I guess it isn't?
Also, can someone help me remembering how they differed in flex? It has been so long. I remember YouTek and IG being noticeably stiffer, I think they were tested at like 65RA.
I'm sure previous iterations were softer, but by how much?
Thanks in advance

As far as I know, from TK345 onwards, the 18x20 (MP for 360+ and Pro for Aux1.0 & 2.0) has got the new 20mm beam.

Experts out there, please correct me if I am wrong. Thanks!
